BIG FUCKING YIKES!!
Especially, since I see firsthand exactly what happens as a result of these illegal migrants after they cross the border.
EXAMPLE:
Denver, Colorado. In its current state.
Don't get me started..
I can and will if ya'll want me to. I've extensively researched wtf is happening here.. I will say this; I have seen first hand exactly what this has turned Denver into. It fucking terrifies me. DO NOT think for a even a second, that this is not a crisis. It's a crisis beyond comprehension. These numbers are mindblowing.
Lemme break it down a bit...
200 migrants from Texas bussed to Denver EACH AND EVERY DAY. 7 DAYS A WEEK.
SINCE DECEMBER 2022. That totals over 40,000. Forty fucking thousand. In ONE city. Think about the repercussions of that on every level. A 40,000 person increase in 15 months. That isn't an increase, my friends.. that is a burden; one with devastating consequences.
What it does to
1. Our local and state funded programs and services used primarily by our elderly, disabled, low income families, and veterans.
2. Our public school systems. All the way up to teacher shortages and budget cuts (again, an already strained system in every capacity)
3. Our law enforcement and emergency response. It ABSOLUTELY drains their resources in incomprehensible ways.
4. Our housing crisis, as well as the homeless crisis in Denver (Look it up, as it's its own whole new topic of debate, and I'm trying hard to stay focused on this discussion)
5. Our healthcare systems and hospitals. Already struggling to barely maintain *let alone recover from* covid and all of its repercussions.
Here's a couple of links to get you started.
If you have specific questions, I most likely likely have a link with info for you.
From 2021- when the shenanigans actually began, NOT when the busses started coming. That came later... December of 2022.
The 2021 session brought a series of wins for immigrant advocates, as Democrats passed several bills to benefit undocumented Coloradans.

Then there's this one from a week ago..

How much will the migrant crisis end up costing Denver, and should we expect to see a city-sanctioned tent village?

Or this one,
From December 15, 2023. More than 3 months ago. So add almost a quarter of a year increase to already inconceivable and UNATTAINABLE numbers.
Denver, now sheltering 4,500 people in seven hotels, is offering migrants bus tickets to cities where resources aren’t so depleted.
