A stabbing in Red Bluff leaves neighbors feeling sad but not shocked

The Red Bluff Police Department (RBPD) arrived at the scene to find a man had been stabbed by his girlfriend who has been identified as Michelle Gonzales,49.

Neighbors that live in the area say Michelle and the victim would fight constantly. The RBPD has confirmed that the couple did have a history of domestic violence and a previous report of her stabbing him has been filed.
"They were fighting and arguing every month. She was stabbing him once a month. The cops were always getting called," said Lander.
The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital while Gonzales was held at the scene by authorities. Gonzales would later admit to stabbing him and eventually be booked in Tehama County Jail for homicide.
While at the hospital, the victim did pass away due to injuries.
