Michael Santana Sanchez Charged, Twin Infants Hospitalized With 'Near-Fatal' Injuries

Michael Santana Sanchez, 25, is facing multiple charges related to child abuse after reportedly admitting to abusing two newborn twin babies over the course of several months.

According to an affidavit, a 2.5 month old baby girl was brought to a hospital in Lebanon County with serious unexplained life-threatening head injuries.

After examining the infant, a doctor determined she had bruises on her forehead and jaw, rib fractures, a skull fracture, a distal humerus, swelling and bleeding under scalp, and brain bruising, according to an affidavit.

Due to the severity of her injuries, her twin brother was reportedly brought in to the hospital, where doctors determined he also had suffered extensive injuries.

According to an affidavit, the brother had broken blood vessels in his eye, bruising on his abdomen and limbs, rib fractures, a possible distal femur, and a probable proximal left tibia CML.

On July 24, Sanchez, 25, of Lebanon reportedly admitted to officials that he was solely responsible for causing injuries to both infants on more than one occasion over the course of several months from May to July.
