Man Arrested For Leaving Puppy In A Cold Car

A Dighton man was charged with animal cruelty after police said he left a puppy in a cold car while shopping.

Officers found the dog shivering and rolled up in a ball on the seat Dec. 30 at Dartmouth Mall.

The animal had been there for about an hour.

Animal control officers seized the dog and had it checked out at a local vet.

The owner of the dog was arrested, but his name has not been released.
