Man Accused Of Repeatedly Backhanding Young Girl In Privates

"Michael Sweetman, 40, of Unionville, Missouri, is charged with one count of felony child abuse.

According to court documents, between March 2020 and July 2020, Sweetman inflicted physical injury on the now six-year-old relative by backhanding her in the genital area over her clothes.

Investigators said a witness told them the alleged abuse happened approximately 10 times for no apparent reason and resulted in the girl crying due to the pain.

Court papers state the victim suffered serious emotional injury as a result of the physical abuse."
