No, it's not a joke, nor it's 1984.
They can't decide whether it was 3 or 4,or they are just really bad at math.
SPOKANE, Wash. (TND) — Lime, a transportation company which rents electric scooters and bikes to pedestrians, is implementing a “no go zone” around a crosswalk painted with a large Progress Pride flag mural in Spokane, Wash., the company told The National Desk (TND) Friday.

Police in Spokane recently announced the arrests of four suspects accused of defacing the mural. Officers said they received a call Wednesday of suspects on scooters damaging the mural. When they arrived at the scene, officers say they were able to witness the vandalism first-hand.
One adult suspect is in police custody for 1st Degree Malicious Mischief, which is a Class B felony in Wash. Two other minors are in juvenile detention on the same charge.

In response to the incident, Lime implemented a “no go zone” over the crosswalk. Lime vehicles “aren’t authorized to travel in no go zones,” which it marks with red shading on its app. Entering a "no go zone" will cause a Lime vehicle to “gradually come to a stop,” according to its website, forcing a rider to walk their scooter until it is outside the zone

If you don't want them to be ruined, maybe stop putting them on a fucking road then.

The price for one starts with 15 k up to... 196 k

PS I'm gay

Restricting where the scooters go won't stop anything. It's the third time it's been vandalized.
Good old Spokane..

The money includes a lot of projects, not just this one

"The Spokane Arts Asphalt Art Program converts parts of streets and crosswalks into public art installations, enriching local neighborhoods while providing a traffic calming solution. This pilot program will run for a minimum of three years,"

So they don't want scooters driving over them but cars are okay? If it's on a sidewalk then people are walking over it, people can mark it up with the heels of their shoes, drop food on it, puke on it, track dog poo, whatever. I'm with @CancerMan, if you don't want it marked up put it somewhere people are not walking, or driving, like the side of a building.

I mean, they didn't even arrest Baldwin for killing a woman, but they arrested 2 teenagers and a guy for
"1st Degree Malicious Mischief, which is a Class B felony in Wash"

Even the fucking name of this "crime" is a joke.

Fuck, I missed a good joke, pretend it's in the original post

"No, it's not a joke, nor it's 1984, it's worse, it's... Washington"

Oh, I'm so sorry he was arrested... For illegal biking, whatever that is
