Lashana Graham, 45, faces an open murder charge for the death of Da’Corrius Perine. Perine died on Oct. 23, 2024, after ingesting fentanyl, documents said.
The child lived in the same home as Graham, who was caring for him while his mother was out of state, police said.
Graham told police that while her doctors have prescribed her pain pills, “she supplements the prescriptions with powdered fentanyl,” according to documents.

Police interviewed Graham a week after her grandson’s death. During the interview, she admitted she buys powdered fentanyl several times a week and that “any drug that Da’Corrius ingested would have been hers,” documents said.
