Atlanta police are investigating at least 15 cases over the past year where women have been robbing men at gunpoint in upscale hotels and stealing Rolex watches, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Two women were arrested Friday and accused of committing this type of armed robbery, Channel 2 reported. One of the women was arrested earlier on similar charges.
Kodi Lee Jones is accused of inviting a man up to her room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in July, police told the news station. However, before they went, she said they should go to a BP gas station across the street and get some drinks.
Jones allegedly was on her phone texting people the entire walk there, and then the man was ambushed by four men who attacked and robbed him of his Rolex watch, other jewelry and cash, police said.
She’s charged with aggravated assault and robbery by force, and she remains in the Fulton County jail without bond, according to jail records.
Sarah Bennett allegedly met a man at the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead, and when he brought her to his room, she pulled a gun out of her purse and stole his Rolex and wallet, police told Channel 2.
Bennett is charged with theft by taking and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to jail records.
In February, Bennett was accused of targeting men in high-end hotels and bars to rob them and was arrested by Clarkston police.

Recently, police told the news station about another incident where a woman met a man at the bar at the St. Regis in Buckhead. She brought another man up to this room to rob him of his watch, which is valued at $25,000, and no suspects have been arrested or named yet.
