Montgomery County Fire/EMS responded Monday, April 6 shortly after 4 p.m. to for a traumatic injury.
After being transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the 1-year-old child was pronounced dead and taken to the Western District Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy, according to deputies.
Jarron Shirk, 29, was charged with the following:
- Felony homicide
- Three counts of felony child endangerment
- Three counts of misdemeanor allow access to firearm by children
- Three counts of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor
- Three counts of felony abuse/neglect of a child
Man arrested in connection to death of 1-year-old
A man was arrested in connection to the death of a 1-year-old, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
