James Farmer freed from jail commits another crime before leaving building

CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office says a man who’d just bonded out of the jail stole a wallet from the lobby before leaving.

James Farmer was in the lobby of the sheriff’s office to retrieve his personal items as he was leaving jail.

Investigators say he noticed a wallet left behind in the chair by a jail visitor moments earlier.

Sheriff’s officials say Farmer picked up the wallet and left the sheriff’s office without telling anyone.

The wallet was discovered later, with $40 missing.

He’s now back in jail, facing a larceny charge in addition to the previous charges against him.
