James Driver told x-vag to enjoy the holidays cause he was going to kill her and he was ready for “prison life”

Lake County sheriff’s deputies have arrested James M. Driver, 29, for threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend of eight years, who is also the mother of their three children.

Driver’s ex-girlfriend said she was talking on the phone in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Dec. 18 when Driver suddenly showed up, opened her car door and demanded to know who she was talking to. She said he grabbed her wrist and snatched the watch he had given her two months earlier. He also threatened to beat her and anyone else near her, she said.

When a bystander came up and identified herself as an off-duty police officer, she said there was no problem because she was afraid of what he might do if she told the truth.

She drove to a nearby Circle K and was talking to her current boyfriend when Driver showed up and tried to open her locked car door. He then began pounding on the windows and screaming that he would kill her.

As she drove away, she received 10 phone calls from him demanding to know her sister’s phone number. When she asked why, he said, “to make arrangements.” When she asked what kind of arrangements, he said, “your [expletive] funeral.”

Driver then told her that she should enjoy the holidays with the children because he was going to kill her. He told her he had nothing to live for and was ready for “prison life.”

She told authorities that he has a firearm, so the threat is credible.
