A Michigan high school athlete’s spine was fractured during a junior varsity football game when a boy twice his size leaped up and flattened him, according to shocking video.
The teen boys were on opposing teams during a Thursday evening jv game between Lakeshore and Kalamazoo Central High Schools and had just finished a play when the larger one seemingly crossed a line, according to the clip and the injured teen’s mom.

Footage taken by fans in the stands shows a Lakeshore player tackling the 15-year-old Kalamazoo Central player named Colton as the two teams tussle.

Then, while Colton is still on the ground, the hulking Lakeshore teen climbs off him, stands up and launches his full body weight back on the curled-up teen — pancaking him, the video shows.
Following the body slam, Colton was carted off the field and taken to the hospital.

The 15-year-old was treated for two fractures in his spine and placed on muscle relaxers once he was released, his mother, Courtney Mims, told WSBT.

That was not part of the play, it was extra and unnecessary, the play was at least 15 feet away.

I always worried about my older son, he was always the smallest one on the team and he made absolutely sure he was in on every tackle. I was sure that one day I would find him with some major injuries, but he managed to escape without too many scuffs.

Maybe Colton can get back to playing but he may not and that shithead took it away from him for no reason .

That was just malicious AF! :shifty:
That is the perfect way to put it!

Big boy needs some repercussions to what he did, I know it's a game and albeit a kinda violent game but in every game there are RULES-shit there is even rules in war and if you break a rule, especially so blatantly you should be punished accordingly. He could of left that kid paralyzed TG he didn't...

That is definitely not a football play. Considering how much the pancaked football player suffered from the unnecessary hit (thankfully he wasn't paralyzed, I must add), I believe criminal charges would certainly be warranted against the kid from Lakeshore.
