An investigation is underway after a newborn baby boy was found abandoned in a restroom trash bin at a Lynwood park Friday morning.

The baby was rescued around 8 a.m. after a passerby found the infant in the women’s restroom at Yvonne Burke-John D. Ham Park and reported to authorities, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Deputies responded and paramedics with the L.A. County Fire Department provided emergency aid.

The infant was transported to a hospital and was listed in stable condition as of Saturday evening, the sheriff’s department reported.

The boy is believed to have been born sometime between Wednesday and Friday, officials said.

Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the baby boy and the person who left him at the park.

They need to really start pushing Safe Haven Law details and locations to students from junior high thru college .. don’t know if it would help but.. it would be worth a shot..
Finding safe haven law information is fucking easier than taking a piss.

Obviously, these heartless bitches can't only be inconvenienced with raising a baby, but can't be inconvenienced to use their IPhone for anything else besides Instagraming their lunch and messaging a dude to full her twat with dick.

I agree. The info is easy to find if you know that Safe Haven laws exist (and if you have internet access, which not everyone has), but I’m willing to bet that lots of people have no idea these laws even exist. I think I only learned about them a few years ago, and I’m 47! I believe sex ed and health classes in schools should all cover the topic.

Special Victims Bureau Detectives reviewed video surveillance from a local business for the date of June 9, 2021. The video surveillance captured two females walking on Atlantic Avenue North of Martin Luther King Boulevard. The detectives noticed a small apartment complex nearby, where they stopped to investigate. As the detectives walked the apartment complex, they contacted a local resident and showed the resident the video of the two women at the park. The resident immediately believed she knew who the women were and directed them to the apartment where they lived.

Upon further investigation, the women identified themselves as the persons on the flyer. All parties in the photo were present. Detectives located the pink trike stroller at that location. Detectives had both women respond to Century Sheriff’s Station for further questioning.
During the investigation, a 22 year old female hispanic admitted she gave birth to the abandoned child on June 9, 2021, and discarded the child out of fear. The suspect said no one was aware of her pregnancy as she had only been in the United States for 2 months. The suspect stated she came to the U.S. illegally from Guatemala. The abandoned baby was the result of a sexual assault that occurred in Guatemala.

Further investigation revealed the second female had no knowledge that the suspect was pregnant, and was not arrested.

The suspect was arrested and booked at Century Sheriff’s Station on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. and her bail is set at $100,000 for Cruelty to Child Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury/Death, 273a (a) PC - Felony.

For the safety and protection of the suspect, booking photos, name, or personal information will not be released at this time.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department - Special Victims Bureau is tasked with investigating the sexual and physical abuse of children and felonious sexual assaults involving adult victims.

I also agree-I don’t know exactly how all the social media sites work, but posting safe haven information or “story” on Instagram might reach a lot of these young parents to be that don’t want to be…Or public service announcements during targeted shows like they used to do for drugs and fried eggs. Couldn’t hurt.

Oh, this bitch is 22?! I was expecting 15 or 16. Fuck her, she has no excuse. At the least, she could have left the baby somewhere safer and around people, as she may not have known about the safe haven laws. I’d rather be deported back to that hell hole with my baby than live one hour in the US knowing they were dying in a trash bin.
