A 28-year-old woman has found herself behind bars after she allegedly smacked her mom in the face with grits during an argument about pizza this week.
Jakiela Mobley was arrested and charged with battery after the incident that unfolded in Marion County on Monday morning, according to an arrest affidavit.
Mobley told deputies she was sleeping on the street in Ocala on Sunday night, but asked her mother to pick her up so she can have a warm place to sleep, the affidavit said. The next morning, Mobley told her mother that she was going to make a pizza in the oven, to which her mother said she was making grits and she could have some – or make another breakfast food.
Mobley began to argue with her mother, and that's when she grabbed some of the grits her mom had made and hit her in the face with them, the affidavit said.
Mobley tried to place the blame on her mother, saying that she grabbed the grits and hit herself in the face to make it seem like she was battered, the affidavit said. Deputies, however, said they saw grits on the side of Mobley's mother's face and a mark created by a hand in the grits, which corroborated the mother's statement.

Mobley, who has multiple previous battery arrests, was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail.

Speaking of grits, 150-grit sandpaper on a vibrating palm sander would remove that pepperoni pizza of a face. Mae West had two holidays she wanted to receive visits between. This chick has a whole calendar of festive red holidays.

I love grits casserole for breakfast, cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon all mixed up together, unless the grits are thick as spackling, I like em thinish. If the cops saw a hand print in the grits then those were spackling grits, and that shit sticks like glue.

Your mom rescues you and is cooking you breakfast and you go and get all assaulty with the grits, that shit ain't right, well, you got a warm, even if it's not quiet or nice, place to sleep now.

Wtf? I eat pizza for breakfast!
I do too if I have leftovers, but I wouldn’t turn down grits.

Stop the abuse of grits. I’d kick her ass for that and burning her mom. Grits are sooooo good. Scrambled eggs and bacon. YUM! Excuse me for being a fatass rn.
I’m right there with you @Kitsune Faye!

You know, I've heard of grits, but its not exactly a common Canadian dish. In fact, I've never even seen grits here, or any mention of them as a possible menu item.

In fact, in fact, I'm not even entirely sure what grits even are. Grit to me is fine-ish gravel that I give to my chickens so they can properly digest their food.

A quick google search informs me that they are corn product, so I *may* like it and then boo on wasting food, but my chickens are going to LOVE that and then boo more on wasting food.

Grits are pretty bland that's why you fill them up with tasty stuff like bacon, sausage, eggs and cheese. I have had cream of wheat and nope that stuff is slimy. Oatmeal is okay but better when it's Quaker Oats with all the flavors, cause oatmeal is bland too!

It sounds similar to a dish I've had called "pap" in South Africa, it's coursely ground corn, made into sort of a porridge but less... wet? soupy?(At least the one I had.) You eat it as a side dish with meat and gravy as you would rice, so its less of a breakfast food, and more of a dinner one, but also very bland.
