Politics politics. Alrighty then. My personal thoughts on Trump is that if he was truly a outsider going rouge then wouldn't they have clintoncided him? I see the media and politicians using repetition to brainwash and cause division among people like never before and the fact that they allow antifa to do whatever dressed like urban snipers is insane. I've lived through many presidents and I honestly think that they are selected rather than elected and the fact that the act of voting with the breaches and cheating is insane. Maybe the powerball lotto people should be in charge of voting as everyweek they get last minute slammed with people buying online and at retailers with no glitches. I'm of the opinion that everything government touches it screws up. Seen where trump made a huge trade deal on agriculture with china that should make many gmo farmers happy and should bring many more voters his way this next election and I love seeing fellow Americans doing good rather than struggling. My prediction is that the deficit will never be paid down ever. That trump wins again and the economy will take a huge hit about a year into his second term. Then everyone will flip back to democrats good republicans bad once again, but the debt thing will prompt talks of restructuring government including the constitution. The irony of the people fighting over the left or right is that they are getting trampled under boths boots all the way to the bank,the politicians all come out millionaires,even the quiet ones. They are the ultimate mafia.

Gumaer’s brave team are risking their lives to distribute mattresses and blankets to desperate Kurds fleeing south toward the city of Hasaka. But the Turks have deliberately shelled the water station serving Hasaka, ensuring that the flood of displaced persons won’t have water to survive.

A bipartisan resolution released by Engel on Friday includes language saying the Kurds "fought courageously" with the United States against ISIS and that a withdrawal from northeast Syria is "beneficial to adversaries" like Syria, Iran and Russia.
The four-page resolution says the House "opposes the decision to end certain United States efforts" to prevent Turkey's offensive. It also calls on Erdogan to "immediately cease" the operation, says the United States should continue supporting the Kurds and calls for the U.S. to "work to ensure that the Turkish military acts with restraint."
In a letter to House Democrats on Friday, Hoyer said it is possible the chamber will take up Syria legislation during this work period.
"Both parties are outraged by the president's reckless and dangerous decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria and abandon our Kurdish allies," Hoyer wrote. "It is shameful that this president has betrayed a reliable ally, is enabling the return of ISIS and is putting our nation and other allies, including Europe and Israel, at risk. As Turkish forces push deeper into Syria and the Kurdish death toll rises, Congress ought to respond."

Federal courts have so far been asked to weigh in on relatively few standoffs central to the Ukraine-focused impeachment inquiry. That could change, depending on the Democrats' boldness and how encouraged they feel following the routing of Trump's legal arguments.

“The WHCA is horrified by a video reportedly shown over the weekend at a political conference organized by the President’s supporters at the Trump National Doral in Miami,“ said the statement, issued in the name of WHCA president Jonathan Karl.
“All Americans should condemn this depiction of violence directed toward journalists and the President’s political opponents. We have previously told the President his rhetoric could incite violence. Now we call on him and everybody associated with this conference to denounce this video and affirm that violence has no place in our society.”

Pelosi says she and Graham will introduce resolution to block Trump on Syria The withdrawal has sparked perhaps the strongest criticism of the president from Republicans of any issue since Mr. Trump's presidency, and at a time when he most needs Republicans' support during the impeachment inquiry. Republicans have been trying to talk the president out of the decision, as Turkey moves deeper into Syria and Kurdish allies who helped the U.S. defeat ISIS fend for their lives.

The video is an edited clip of a scene depicting a brawl inside a church from a 2014 movie. President Trump's head is superimposed on the main character in the video and it shows him shooting, stabbing, and assaulting other people in the church whose heads have been edited to show Trump's critics and the logos of news organizations. At one point, Trump is depicted as shooting in the head a person whose face has been replaced by a Black Lives Matter logo.

E.U. ambassador to testify that ex-Ukraine ambassador was 'great' despite Trump ouster
U.S. Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland will tell Congress on Thursday that he thought former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch was "great" and that he has nothing negative to say about her job performance, despite her ouster by President Donald Trump.
A person with knowledge of Sondland's testimony tells NBC News that Yovanovitch was an able and professional diplomat, and that he had no issues with her whatsoever. The person spoke to NBC News on the condition of anonymity.
Yovanovitch told House impeachment investigators last week that Trump personally pressured the State Department to have her removed from her position. Sondland is expected to testify under subpoena on Thursday as part of the impeachment inquiry.
Sondland will also testify that after he attended Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's inauguration in May, he met with Trump, Energy Secretary Rick Perry and former U.S. special envoy Kurt Volker in the Oval Office. In that meeting, Sondland will say, Trump told them that any in-person meeting between Trump and Zelenskiy would have to be approved by Rudy Giuliani.

The White House tried to limit what Fiona Hill, who until August served as President Donald Trump's top Russia analyst, could say to Congress in its impeachment inquiry, correspondence between her lawyers and a White House deputy counsel shows.
The letters, obtained by NBC News, illustrate that while the White House did not try to block Hill from testifying, it did tell Hill's lawyers about four areas that could potentially fall under executive privilege.
Those areas involved direct communications with the president, diplomatic communications, meetings with other heads of state and staffing the president had on calls with foreign heads of state, the correspondence shows. Hill testified under subpoena on Monday to the House. Previously, she agreed to testify at Congress' written request.
The House has launched an impeachment inquiry over matters that include Trump's communication with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that involved a request for an investigation by that country into former vice president Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. There is no evidence of wrongdoing by either Joe or Hunter Biden.
The Hill's lawyers wrote back to the White House on Sunday, presenting their argument for why executive privilege did not apply, based in part on the fact that some of the information has already come into the public sphere and thus is no longer confidential, the correspondence shows. Hill's lawyers also made a legal argument that executive privilege disappears when there's reason to believe there was government misconduct.

A person with knowledge of Sondland's testimony tells NBC News that Yovanovitch was an able and professional diplomat, and that he had no issues with her whatsoever. The person spoke to NBC News on the condition of anonymity.
Yovanovitch told House impeachment investigators last week that Trump personally pressured the State Department to have her removed from her position. Sondland is expected to testify under subpoena on Thursday as part of the impeachment inquiry.
Sondland will also testify that after he attended Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's inauguration in May, he met with Trump, Energy Secretary Rick Perry and former U.S. special envoy Kurt Volker in the Oval Office. In that meeting, Sondland will say, Trump told them that any in-person meeting between Trump and Zelenskiy would have to be approved by Rudy Giuliani.

White House tried to limit what former Russia aide Fiona Hill could say to Congress, letters show
The White House tried to limit what Fiona Hill, who until August served as President Donald Trump's top Russia analyst, could say to Congress in its impeachment inquiry, correspondence between her lawyers and a White House deputy counsel shows.
The letters, obtained by NBC News, illustrate that while the White House did not try to block Hill from testifying, it did tell Hill's lawyers about four areas that could potentially fall under executive privilege.
Those areas involved direct communications with the president, diplomatic communications, meetings with other heads of state and staffing the president had on calls with foreign heads of state, the correspondence shows. Hill testified under subpoena on Monday to the House. Previously, she agreed to testify at Congress' written request.
The House has launched an impeachment inquiry over matters that include Trump's communication with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that involved a request for an investigation by that country into former vice president Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. There is no evidence of wrongdoing by either Joe or Hunter Biden.
The Hill's lawyers wrote back to the White House on Sunday, presenting their argument for why executive privilege did not apply, based in part on the fact that some of the information has already come into the public sphere and thus is no longer confidential, the correspondence shows. Hill's lawyers also made a legal argument that executive privilege disappears when there's reason to believe there was government misconduct.

Lawyer: probe of Giuliani business dealings began early 2019
NEW YORK – U.S. counterintelligence agents have been examining Rudy Giuliani’s business dealings with two men indicted last week on campaign finance charges since at least early 2019, according to a Manhattan lawyer.
Kenneth McCallion, who has represented several Ukrainian clients including former Ukraine Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in U.S. court cases, said the agents contacted him in February or March. They asked whether Giuliani, who is President Donald Trump's personal attorney, had business dealings with Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.

Never-Before-Seen Trump Tax Documents Show Major Inconsistencies
Documents obtained by ProPublica show stark differences in how Donald Trump’s businesses reported some expenses, profits and occupancy figures for two Manhattan buildings, giving a lender different figures than they provided to New York City tax authorities. The discrepancies made the buildings appear more profitable to the lender — and less profitable to the officials who set the buildings’ property tax.
For instance, Trump told the lender that he took in twice as much rent from one building as he reported to tax authorities during the same year, 2017. He also gave conflicting occupancy figures for one of his signature skyscrapers, located at 40 Wall Street.
Lenders like to see a rising occupancy level as a sign of what they call “leasing momentum.” Sure enough, the company told a lender that 40 Wall Street had been 58.9% leased on Dec. 31, 2012, and then rose to 95% a few years later. The company told tax officials the building was 81% rented as of Jan. 5, 2013.
A dozen real estate professionals told ProPublica they saw no clear explanation for multiple inconsistencies in the documents. The discrepancies are “versions of fraud,” said Nancy Wallace, a professor of finance and real estate at the Haas School of Business at the University of California-Berkeley. “This kind of stuff is not OK.”
New York City’s property tax forms state that the person signing them “affirms the truth of the statements made” and that “false filings are subject to all applicable civil and criminal penalties.”
The punishments for lying to tax officials, or to lenders, can be significant, ranging from fines to criminal fraud charges. Two former Trump associates, Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort, are serving prison time for offenses that include falsifying tax and bank records, some of them related to real estate.
“Certainly, if I were sitting in a prosecutor’s office, I would want to ask a lot more questions,” said Anne Milgram, a former attorney general for New Jersey who is now a professor at New York University School of Law.
Trump has previously been accused of manipulating numbers on his tax and loan documents, including by his former lawyer, Cohen. But Trump’s business is notoriously opaque, with records rarely surfacing, and up till now there’s been little documentary evidence supporting those claims.

Maryland Rep. Elijah E. Cummings died early Thursday due to complications from longstanding health challenges, his congressional office said. He was 68.
A sharecropper's son, Cummings became the powerful chairman of a U.S. House committee that investigated President Donald Trump, and was a formidable orator who passionately advocated for the poor in his black-majority district, which encompasses a large portion of Baltimore as well as more well-to-do suburbs.
Cummings' long career spanned decades in Maryland politics. He rose through the ranks of the Maryland House of Delegates before winning his congressional seat in a special election in 1996 to replace former Rep. Kweisi Mfume, who left the seat to lead the NAACP.

"At that moment, I was probably saying, 'All roads lead to Putin,'" Pelosi said about the photo that was widely circulated after she walked out of a White House meeting with Trump Wednesday.
Trump tweeted out the photo, which shows Pelosi standing up and pointing her finger at Trump as he, other members of the administration and members of Congress remain seated around an oval table in the Cabinet Room.
"Nervous Nancy's unhinged meltdown!?" Trump tweeted.
But Pelosi quickly made the image the cover photo for her Twitter profile as Democrats suggested that she had gotten the better of him.
"This picture: a strong, calm, confident woman standing up to Trump, is iconic," tweeted Paul Begala, who worked for President Bill Clinton.
Pelosi said she told Trump that Russia has been trying to get a foothold in the Middle East and his troop withdrawal gives them an opening as Kurds reach out to Russians for support.
Putin also benefited when Trump placed doubts at the beginning of his administration on the U.S.'s commitment to NATO, she said.
And Pelosi said she told Trump that any withholding of U.S. assistance to Ukraine helps Russia, which invaded its neighboring country in 2014.

In a whirlwind 40-minute news conference, acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney told reporters the U.S. funds were withheld at least in part because of a request to have Ukraine investigate unfounded allegations that foreign countries assisted Democrats in the 2016 election.
"Did he also mention to me in [the] past the corruption related to the DNC server? Absolutely," Mulvaney said of a conversation he had Trump. "No question about that. But that's it, and that's why we held up the money."
He added: "The look-back to what happened in 2016 certainly was part of the thing that he was worried about in corruption with that nation."

"I think Mr. Mulvaney's acknowledgment means that things have gone from very, very bad to much, much worse," Schiff told reporters Thursday, demurring when asked how Mulvaney's comments would affect the pace of the House's impeachment inquiry.
"I have news for everybody. Get over it. There's going to be political influence in foreign policy ... that's going to happen. Elections have consequences," Mulvaney told reporters Thursday, saying "we do that all the time with foreign policy" when asked if a "quid pro quo" was involved in the eventual release of the aid.
Mulvaney denied any aid was withheld to pressure Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son.
The comments came the same day that President Trump's ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland, testified before the House, during which he was expected to tell members that a text message in which he said Trump "didn't want a quid pro quo ... didn't want anything from Ukraine" was dictated by Trump himself.
Energy Secretary Rick Perry told The Wall Street Journal this week that he had been told to talk to Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani to set up a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and that Giuliani had repeatedly invoked conspiracy theories about the 2016 election and Biden.

Sen. Mitt Romney delivered perhaps the most thorough Republican rebuke of President Trump’s Syria withdrawal Thursday, calling Trump’s abandonment of the Kurds there “a bloodstain on the annals of American history.”
But while that line will get a lot of play, there’s something else Romney said that shouldn’t escape notice. He also floated a theory about how Trump arrived at the decision: that he got bullied into it by Turkey and that he backed down.
“It’s been … suggested that Turkey may have called America’s bluff, telling the president they are coming no matter what we did,” said Romney, of Utah. “If that’s so, we should know it. For it would tell us a great deal about how we should deal with Turkey, now and in the future.”
Romney then returned to the idea that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan might have given Trump an ultimatum that was met with acquiescence.
“Are we so weak and inept diplomatically that Turkey forced the hand of the United States of America? Turkey!?” Romney said. “I believe that it’s imperative that public hearings are held to answer these questions, and I hope the Senate is able to conduct those hearings next week.”
To be clear, there have been suggestions that perhaps Trump got rolled by Erdogan, who has been pitching the idea that Turkey could take over the fight against ISIS in northern Syria for a long time. The possibility that Trump gave away the farm because Erdogan was particularly convincing or because of something else — Trump’s business interests in Turkey, his desire for Middle East withdrawals, etc. — is a well-trafficked theory among Trump’s opponents.
But here is a U.S. senator — and a Republican one — suggesting not just that Trump got out-negotiated, but that he basically got told what was going to happen and ran away. Romney is entertaining the idea that a relatively small country forced the hand of the United States and also dictated to the supposed Dealmaker-in-Chief.
