The driver of the Tesla Cybertruck who was killed when the vehicle blew up outside Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas has been identified as a Colorado resident and Army veteran.

Law enforcement sources confirmed to The Post that Matthew Livelsberger, 37, rented the electric pickup truck that went up in flames New Year’s Day in the valet area of the hotel.

Livelsberger was behind the wheel of the Tesla truck, which was packed with fireworks-style mortars, camping fuel and canisters, during the explosion, News5 reported early Thursday, citing law enforcement sources.
Livelsberger has several addresses in Colorado Springs, at least one of which was swarmed by the feds late Wednesday, KTNV reported.
The dramatic explosion outside the Vegas Trump hotel is being investigated by the FBI as a possible act of terror.
The driver of the Tesla was killed in the blast and at least seven bystanders suffered minor injuries.

Active duty, on leave.
This was the Army's statement
“Master Sgt. Matthew Alan Livelsberger enlisted as an 18X and served in the active duty Army from January 2006 to March 2011. Additionally, U.S. Army Special Operations Command can confirm Livelsberger was assigned to the command and on approved leave at the time of his death. USASOC is in full cooperation with federal and state law enforcement agencies, but as a matter of policy, will not comment on ongoing investigations.

It's just so sad that a guy who signed up to protect our country, did this. But I'm guessing they didn't give the tesla truck enough credit and it was what kept the explosion contained with nobody but the bomber killed. I still think it's an ugly truck.

Las Vegas Cybertruck bomber Matthew Livelsberger claimed his shocking suicide wasn’t a terror attack but a way for the US soldier to cleanse his mind, police revealed Friday.
Las Vegas police said Livelsberger left behind two notes in a charred cellphone recovered inside the singed Tesla he rented that suggests a motive behind why he detonated explosives and shot himself in front of the Trump International Hotel Wednesday.

“This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence. What better way to get my point across than a stunt with fireworks and explosives,” Livelsberger, 37, wrote in a notes app on his phone.
