Animal rescue groups are offering a $1,000 reward for information about a pit bull that was found abused and abandoned in Union County.

The small, gray female dog was dehydrated when she was found on a street in Elizabeth, according to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office.

Local rescue groups have offered the reward for anyone with information about what happened to the dog before it was abandoned.
