A rider gave fellow passengers on a city bus in Brooklyn the scare of their lives Monday — when his gun fired after falling from his wheelchair, police said.

The man was riding a B25, when the gun went off at about 2:45 p.m. as the driver was helping him get off the bus on Fulton St. at Howard Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police sources said. The driver was helping the man onto the bus’s movable floor at the time.

The man nonchalantly reached over, scooped up the weapon and wheeled off, heading east on Fulton.

Startled passengers then ran off, said an MTA maintenance worker, who declined to give his name.

"The bullet ricocheted off the ceiling and fell,” an MTA worker said. “It tapped off the ceiling and came back down. It fell next to the driver. The driver could’ve been hit.”

The bullet shattered, but authorities retrieved the pieces, he said.

Sources describe the man with the gun as black and in his 30s. He wore a black hat and a blue shirt...
