I finally got a chance to watch this today, and I think I am gonna buy it. The DVD cover is misleading to some extent, but overall, it is a revenge flick.

Aside from the dialog, which I enjoyed, the actions of the characters in the movie were extremely realistic, as well as scenes in which there were conversations amongst more than one person. Paddy Considine did an excellent job as the menacing brother.

The alt-country\electronica soundtrack was a standout as well.

Anyone else seen this film?

Because you said so, I'm getting tomorrow from Movie Gallery!

I've been on the fence with this one for some time now
I never really got a chance to watch it but I make time now!

It says it does for slasher films what 28 Days Later did for zombie flicks!

That was enough to hook me! :D

That was a very, very misleading quote. Hope that it doesn't mess up the movie for you.

Don't you hate that? I was on a road trip with my family once, I must have been around 10 or so. I had finished what I brought with me to read, so we were in this truck stop, and I was looking at the book rack. Here was this book, it had a massive Peterbilt truck on the cover. The thing had rocket launchers attached to both finders, and enormous machine-guns sticking through the grill. It was in mid-air, with all guns blazing. I was fucking blown away.

So, I got the book, and kept reading about this fuck-head trucker who rarely even carried a pistol with him, who was delivering this mysterious shipment that had a seal on the back, and he kept wanting to break the seal and peek back there, but couldn't work up the courage, and some people were chasing him at times and I was like... FUCK!!!

When is this guy going to attach the missile launchers to the fenders? I finished the fucking book and was just disgusted with the universe. I can't remember if I was a cynic before that book or not, but it changed EVERYTHING for me. I would see a commercial on TV promising this or that, and I would just think, "Bullshit" and tune out.

Yeah. I hate it. Especially when it is not needed. This cover seems to be made by a distributer who is trying to garner the horror crowd. This is not a horror movie, nor does the character in the movie wear the mask shown on the cover. It's a bit dis-heartening as the reviews of the movie alone should have been enough, but now I am afraid people will buy this from the cover thinking they are getting some type of Friday the 13th movie. Which they are not.

I agree with one reviewer who places it in the same realm as Straw Dogs or even First Blood.

I got it and I'll try to watch it tonight!
I knew the quote was misleading I just thought it was funny that they said it!

I rented it last year. Never mentioned because I figured no one else would consider seeing it. Yeah, the cover is rather misleading. My only problem w/ the movie was the sound/heavy accents (I needed subtitles at times). If you watch it, make sure you check out the alternate ending.

I'd recommend it as a rental to most people here. It has similarities in the plotline with the recent Alpha Dog (revenge for brother, etc).

so far so good, I'm only about half way thru it...
Please tell me though, WHY did the main bad guy answer the door in clown make up!
will it be answered later on in the movie? Did our hero do that while he was sleepin'?

I Love this Movie!!!
The ending was great I was feelin' pretty bad for the family man at the end!
Like I said, Great ending! Great film!

I didn't even understand half of what they said... and it was still a great film!
No subtitles on my DVD only in spanish!

Also our Hero/villian in this film was also in Hot Fuzz which I also saw tonight!
