Logan Mirmozaffari, 28, was cuffed by state troopers just after midnight Sunday after he was caught going over 130 mph on a Connecticut interstate in his Kia sedan, Connecticut state police said.
When the trooper asked “why he was driving so fast, Mirmozaffari explained that he wanted to get home to see his cat,” police said.
“While speaking with Mirmozaffari, the Trooper began to observe multiple signs of impairment,” state police said — noting the smell of booze as well as the driver’s “glossy eyes and slurred speech.”
The feline aficionado then failed to complete a field sobriety test and was arrested, the statement noted.
