According to an arrest warrant, on Mar. 10, Courtney Keaton allegedly struck a juvenile victim in the back of their head, causing large bruises at a home in Marietta.

The document states that Keaton most likely used her hand, and the injuries appear to have been caused by "more than appropriate discipline."
The warrant also revealed that Keaton is a foster parent to seven children, and when officers spoke to other juveniles in the home, they appeared to be fearful and said Keaton was the only one who physically disciplined them.

It was also revealed that several of the fostered children have made allegations of abuse.

Keaton was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, where she is being held without bond.
Authorities removed the children from the home and say they are in a safe environment. This investigation remains active.

foster kids have been through enough before they ended up in the system so why foster is you don't have the time, patience and love needed to help them... and why so many foster kids in one home?? here, at least, there is a limit of 5 unrelated kids per foster families .... 7 kids is a heck of a lot of work and foster kids all come with their own set of behaviours... they need alot of patience and understanding, being hit only adds to the behaviour problems and for sure doesn't correct it...

It's the money the state gives foster parents, that's what makes these assholes want to have as many kids as possible> I'd bet my last dollar that the kids rarely see the benefit of it.

Glad to see that she is being held without bond! Sad for the children who have already been through distress in their own homes to go to this home and be subjected to more abuse. She should be held to a higher standard and responsible for her abuse!

Even 5 sounds like a ton. That's on the edge of mini-orphanage, and with only one or two staff members.
we never had more than 3 teens at any time... each had their own b/rs wich made it so much easier as they could lock their b/r door from the outside when away from home so no squables about she/he took this or that out of my room etc... each b/r would have been big enough for 2 teens and as much as c.a.s. was pushing us to do so we stood firm only 3 at any given time... unfortunately teens are the hardest ones to find foster homes for but we loved having our teens :) .. challenging for sure but we learned so much from each and every one of our kids :) ... i now have lots (i forgot the count lol) of (foster) grand and great grandkids and love it :) foster, adopted kids or your own they sure are worth the love, care, patience and understanding and i count myself blessed if we change even one of our kid's life...
