The Justice Department is looking into how a handful of classified documents from President Biden’s time as vice president ended up at the DC think tank that bears his name, the White House confirmed Monday night.

“A small number” of sensitive documents from the 80-year-old Biden’s time as Barack Obama’s No. 2 were located less than a week before last year’s midterm elections at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.

The material was discovered by Biden’s personal lawyers on Nov. 2, 2022 while they “were packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate office space,” according to a statement from Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president.

Sauber said that Biden used the office space from “mid-2017 until the start of the 2020 campaign” in April 2019.

CBS News reported that Attorney General Merrick Garland has tasked Chicago US Attorney John Lausch, an appointee of former President Donald Trump, to review the materials and the FBI is also involved in the investigation.

The documents were reportedly stored in a folder inside a box of other unclassified papers. The closet they were pulled out of was reportedly inside a private office that belonged to Biden, CNN reports.

The classified materials reportedly included top-secret files designated “sensitive compartmented information,” or SCI, meaning the highly sensitive information was obtained from intelligence sources, according to CNN.

Intel memos on Iran, Ukraine among docs found at Biden office

MEXICO CITY — President Biden kept classified documents about Ukraine and Iran at his former think tank office, a new report revealed Tuesday as the president again refused to answer reporter questions about the matter.

Journalists shouted queries about the secret papers at the start of a meeting between Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the North American Leaders’ Summit in Mexico City.

Biden clearly heard the questions but chose not to discuss the discovery of the documents at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, which opened in 2018.

Moments later, CNN reported that 10 documents with classified markings and dated between 2013 and 2016 were found mixed in with Biden family papers — including information about the funeral arrangements for the president’s late son, Beau, who died in 2015. Some of the documents were reportedly labeled “top secret,” the highest level of government classification.

GOPers rage as Biden classified docs discovery hidden until after midterms

WASHINGTON – After learning that President Biden’s attorneys found top-secret documents stashed in his unsecured office at a DC think tank six days before the midterm elections, Republican lawmakers are asking why it took more than two months for the public to learn about the discovery.

Though the White House said Biden’s attorneys wasted no time notifying the National Archives and Records Administration that they’d found 10 documents with classified markings mixed in with Biden family papers at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, the fact was not made public until CBS News reported on it Monday night.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) dashed off a letter asking the Archives why it failed to disclose the Nov. 2, 2022 find immediately.

“NARA learned about these documents days before the 2022 midterm elections and did not alert the public that President Biden was potentially violating the law,” Comer pointed out. “Meanwhile, NARA instigated a public and unprecedented FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago—former President Trump’s home—to retrieve presidential records.

“NARA’s inconsistent treatment of recovering classified records held by former President Trump and President Biden raises questions about political bias at the agency,” Comer added.

If it was such an insignificant minor thing it never should have been covered up until after the midterms. Truly though I hope the people that are willing to jump on this and say how terrible it was have equal outrage over the stupidity in Florida but of course they won't. They never do

The Ivy League think tank where lawyers found classified materials linked to the Obama White House is a patronage mill for the Biden administration, raising suspicions among critics that its establishment attracted tens of millions in donations from anonymous Chinese donors.
The Department of Justice is currently probing how “a small number” of classified documents from President Biden’s years as vice president ended up at the Washington, DC, think tank that bears his name, the White House confirmed Monday. A second batch of papers were found at an additional location, it was reported Wednesday.
The University of Pennsylvania received more than $30 million from Chinese donors shortly after the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, which functioned as an office for Joe Biden before he was elected president, was announced in 2017, according to public records.
“The Penn Biden Center is a dark money, revolving door nightmare where foreign competitors like China donated millions of dollars to the university so that they could have access to future high ranking officials,” said Tom Anderson, director of the Government Integrity Project at the Virginia-based National Legal and Policy Center.
The University of Pennsylvania raked in a total of $54.6 million from 2014 through June 2019 in donations from China, including $23.1 million in anonymous gifts starting in 2016, according to public records.

Most of the anonymous donations came after the university officially announced in February 2017 that it would create the academic center named for Biden, whose term as vice president under Barack Obama had just ended. In addition to leading the think tank, Biden was also named a professor at the school.

A second haul of classified documents belonging to President Biden have been located, a new report revealed Wednesday — two days after the White House admitted secret papers were kept at an office the commander-in-chief used after leaving the Obama administration.

NBC News reported the new documents were found at a separate location from the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, where an initial tranche of 10 sensitive documents — some of them marked “top secret” — were retrieved on Nov. 2, 2022.

It was not immediately clear when or where the second group of documents were found, when they date from, and what level of classification they have been given.

The first batch of 10 documents included intelligence memos and other materials concerning Iran, Ukraine and the United Kingdom, CNN reported Tuesday. The papers were dated between 2013 and 2016 and mixed in with Biden family documents, including details on the funeral arrangements for the president’s late son, Beau.

Biden made his first public comments about the matter Tuesday during a news conference in Mexico City, saying he was “surprised” to learn that records from the Obama White House had been found at his office in the Penn Biden Center — which he used for almost two full years after leaving the vice presidency.

Hey Joe! How does this happen?

Biden aides discover second batch of classified docs at another location

President Biden aides have found at least one more batch of classified documents located at a location other than the Penn Biden Center office in Washington, D.C., that he used in the years after he was vice president during the Obama administration, Fox News has confirmed.

A source told NBC News, which first reported the development, that aides to Biden have been searching for additional documents that contained classified material in other locations that may have been used by the president.

The development comes after a separate batch of classified documents were recovered from Biden's private office located at the Penn Biden Center on Tuesday.

I think it's time we stop laughing at this clown... Shit's gittin' deep!
When you see the quotes from the WH it's apparent to see that they think Trump is the problem, not Joe.

More classified documents found in Biden's Delaware garage, White House reveals

President Biden had another batch of classified documents housed in the garage of one of his Delaware homes, White House lawyers announced Thursday.

The White House Counsel's Office searched Biden's two residences in Rehoboth Beach and Wilmington, Delaware this week after revelations about a collection of Obama-era classified documents at a think tank in Washington. Biden is facing growing scrutiny for his handling of classified documents, and the White House says it is fully cooperating with a Justice Department investigation.

White House lawyers say they immediately contacted the DOJ when they discovered the documents this week. There has been no indication of what the documents contain or whether Biden or anyone else read them after leaving office as vice president.

"Lawyers discovered among personal and political papers a small number of additional Obama-Biden administration records with classified markings. All but one of these documents were found in storage space in the President's Wilmington residence garage," White House lawyers wrote in a Thursday statement. "One document consisting of one page was discovered among stored materials in an adjacent room."

President Biden admitted Thursday that more classified documents were found inside his Delaware garage — near his prized classic Corvette — after the revelation Monday that 10 sensitive documents were found at Biden’s former think tank office in Washington.
The jaw-dropping disclosure comes as the Justice Department reviews whether Biden mishandled classified information — a potential crime — after he left office as vice president in 2017.
Thursday afternoon, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed former Maryland US Attorney Robert Hur as special counsel to examine the matter.
“Classified materials next to your Corvette? What were you thinking?” Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Biden after he spoke about annual inflation edging lower to 6.5% in December.

“My Corvette is in a locked garage, OK? So it’s not like they’re sitting out on the street,” Biden replied, seeming to brush off the significance of the discovery.

“So it was in a locked garage?” Doocy persisted.

“Yes, as well as my Corvette,” Biden admitted.
“But as I said earlier this week, people know I take classified documents and classified material seriously,” the president added.

“I also said we’re cooperating fully and completely with the Justice Department’s review. As part of that process, my lawyers reviewed other places where documents might — from my time as vice president — were stored and they finished the review last night. They discovered a small number of documents with classified markings in storage areas and file cabinets in my home and my personal library.”

Attorney General Merrick Garland names Robert Hur special counsel to probe Biden classified docs

Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Thursday he had appointed former Maryland US Attorney Robert Hur as a special counsel to investigate how classified documents ended up at an office President Biden used at his namesake think tank in Washington, DC, as well as at his home in Delaware.

Hur, a Trump appointee who left the Justice Department in early 2021 to enter private practice, will take over the investigation from Chicago federal prosecutor John Lausch, to whom Garland turned in November to review the materials — and who recommended to the AG last week that a special counsel be appointed

“Under the regulations, the extraordinary circumstances here require the appointment of a special counsel for this matter,” Garland told reporters at the Justice Department. “This appointment underscores for the public the department’s commitment to both independence and accountability in particularly sensitive matters and to make decisions indisputably guided only by the facts, and the law.

Dem Rep. Hank Johnson suggests classified documents ‘planted’ in Biden office, garage

A Democratic lawmaker is planting seeds of suspicion about President Biden’s classified documents.

Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.), who once worried Guam could sink from overpopulation, floated a conspiracy theory on Thursday that sensitive papers found at Biden’s Delaware home and an office he used at a Washington, DC, think tank could have been “planted.”

Johnson, 68, told Fox News he was “suspicious” that the 80-year-old president’s lawyers “conveniently” discovered the material from his days as vice president during the Obama administration.

“Alleged classified documents showing up allegedly in the possession of Joseph Biden… I’m suspicious of the timing of it,” said Johnson, using the words “alleged” and “allegedly” despite the White House and Biden admitting that some of the papers found were classified and discovered in his garage, personal library, and office at the Penn Biden Center.

5 more classified documents found at Biden's Delaware home, White House lawyer says

A third batch of classified documents was found at President Biden's residence in Wilmington, Delaware, the president's attorneys announced Saturday.

Special counsel to the president Richard Sauber disclosed in a statement that five additional pages of documents with classified markings were found at Biden's home Thursday evening, making a total of six classified documents retrieved from there.

Sauber explained that when Biden's personal attorneys identified one classified document at Biden's home on Wednesday, they "immediately" stopped searching for additional documents because they lacked the security clearances necessary to view those materials.

"Because I have a security clearance, I went to Wilmington Thursday evening to facilitate providing the document the President’s personal counsel found on Wednesday to the Justice Department," Sauber said. "While I was transferring it to the DOJ officials who accompanied me, five additional pages with classification markings were discovered among the material with it, for a total of six pages. The DOJ officials with me immediately took possession of them."

Mmmm, yes, planted in his home AND his office... Wouldn't sinister, coordinated forces plant dead hookers instead if they're going to go to all that trouble?
His notions and shortcomings are well known...

" On October 5, 2014 The Washingtonian published its 15th biennial "Best & Worst of Congress" list. Johnson was voted "Most Clueless" by congressional staffers."

Plus he's called Israelis "vermin" and "termites" publicly.

Why are weird people reelected all the time?

I am more interested in the fact that Hunter was in that house... also the fact that Hunter paid Joe close to 500 million to "rent" that house for a year 50k a month rent! close amount to the 10% to the big guy in emails from the laptop!

Great way to funnel money to daddy...

Currently the most expensive house to rent in that town is 5k a month - and its an amazing house... why the hell was hunter paying Joe 50k a month??? and this house is bigger than Sleepy Joes!!!

and I am sorry but we have record of Joe helping Hunter with his bills, his child support etc?? but yet for a year he was paying daddy50k a month to live in his house? PLEASE my mom is retired on a limited income and she wouldnt charge me to live at her house....

"Hunter Biden claimed he paid $49,910 a month to live at President Joe Biden’s Delaware residence where classified documents were discovered, a document shows.

The file, labeled “background screening test,” shows Hunter Biden lived in the president’s Wilmington, Delaware, residence between March 2017 and February 2018. Hunter Biden also claimed to “own” the property, according to the document.

The document was originally discovered on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, according to the Washington Examiner, and was reshared on Twitter by the New York Post’s Miranda Devine."

Former deputy assistant to former President Donald Trump, Sebastian Gorka, expressed doubt Hunter Biden could afford to pay his father nearly $50,000 a month, and other Twitter users have speculated the alleged payment could have been a way for Hunter Biden to funnel money to his father.
