Citra Woman Fights Removal From Church Says She Will Not Go To Jail (Mug Alert)

A Citra woman put up a fight while she was being arrested for trespassing at a church.

Tammy Maria West, 56, was charged with resisting an officer without violence and trespassing. She’ll remain at the Marion County Jail until the end of her sentence on July 23.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded to Sparr United Methodist Church, there the pastor reported that West had been previously trespassed and was now sleeping on the property. The pastor provided a copy of the trespass warning and said he wanted to pursue charges, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The deputy made contact with West, who was sleeping under a canopy. She was making statements indicating she was refusing to leave. When told she was going to be arrested for trespass after warning, West refused to stand up and said multiple times she wasn’t going to jail. She continued to passively resist the deputy’s orders for several minutes before finally standing up, the report said.

Once on her feet, West said she wasn’t going to jail and started walking away. The deputy grabbed West’s left arm and she started trying to pull away. The deputy was able to place West’s left arm behind her back and put a handcuff on it, but she continued to actively resist by bracing her right arm in front of her and holding on to a picnic table, according to the report.

The deputy was able to pull West’s hand off the table and completely secure her in handcuffs and place her under arrest. While being walked to the patrol car, West laid down on the ground and wouldn’t move. Once inside the patrol car, she tried to step out of the vehicle while the door was open. West was taken to jail without further incident, the report said.

Along with the mugshot it wouldn't be too surprising if her mental state was so depleted that she thought the pastor walked off because shed convinced him to let her stay.

Jail is probably a good thing for this woman she can get a shower, hot meal and detox.

There must have been a history since the pastor did not try to help this woman and wanted to press charges against her.

not saying keeping that thing around on the property would have been a good idea, but it's further evidence of the fact that churches exist today, and have always existed, as part of either a power play or a self-supporting business operation. And/or, as a cluster of pedos, at least the catholics.

Even the churches aren't prepared for the level of craziness exhibited by many of the homeless today, but, yes, especially the mega churches are definitely in it for the money.

If god were one of use, he'd probably end up mugged, stabbed and found by a homeless person in an alley, mugged again maybe raped. Hopefully found alive by the PD. I hope to hell god is not one of us, cause he wouldn't stand a chance.
