A step-father was arrested on felony child abuse after allegedly mentally and physically abusing his stepchild over the last four years, officials said.

On Wednesday, a male child under the age of 14 was brought by a relative to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station regarding the child being a victim of on-going child abuse, said Sgt. Brian Hudson, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau.

“Deputies learned that the child had been mentally and physically abused by his step-father since 2016,” Hudson said.

The most recent incident occurred on Oct. 1, and involved the step-father allegedly striking the child repeatedly with a “USB-type charging cord,” according to Sheriff’s officials.

“The victim had several visible injuries which were consistent with his disclosure to deputies,” Hudson said.

Alejandro Duque, 32, from Castaic, was contacted by deputies at his residence and arrested for causing corporal injury to a child.

Bail set at $0, according to arrest records.

I hope so!! For once, I hope a judge will keep an adult -who purposely stalked and hurt a child for four long years- behind bars for decades. For once!! Usually, they are let out on bail. I am convinced the mom of the abused child/offender's girlfriend lets the abuser sneak right back into the house with her child (the child who was abused). Then when the trial finally comes up, the judges usually tap the abuser lightly on the palms and sends them back among us, the regular people. The offender doesn't deserve the right to be around regular society! They deserve to pay for the horrors they inflicted on a kid much smaller and much weaker than themselves. Cowards. Pussies. Bullies.

I wish that were the case I live in jersey and they let scumbags out all the time even with the so called “no bail” they are locked up for a day or two see a judge and they let them go they did that about a year ago to some perv who diddled kids and was in jail since he was 15 and at 19 they let him out and he got caught about 2weeks later trying to solicit a 12yr old girl at her bus stop they arrested him and let him out AGAIN and he was caught again a few days later trying to do the same to a 13yr old at the same school bus stop no less... it’s horrible I feel like sometimes they could care less for the victims of child abusers. Well just victims in general...
