Always Loud & Proud
A trio of teenage thugs robbed a bank in Houston this week. They didn't even attempt to cover their faces, one even smirking in a still shot from bank video. Is this the latest social media trend? Eating Tide pods seems smart compared to this. Greenspoint is a rough part of town, hence the "Gunspoint" reference. I guess you can't be a career criminal if you don't start at an early age. SMDH

They look more like 12 - 14 to me!!!
Doesn't say if they had weapons or got any money.

JUNE 9, 1981
"The nation's youngest bank robber, a 10-year-old boy known only as Robert, was convicted of using a toy gun to steal $118 that he spent on junk food and a watch."

The bank robbery comes as members of the juvenile division of the Harris County District Attorney's Office tell ABC13 the crime trends they're seeing among teenagers are concerning.

Leaders at the DA's office say while homicides are reducing overall in the county, the juvenile offender homicide rate has increased by 76% since 2021.

"The numbers aren't lying on those. We are seeing an uptick in particularly very violent crimes," Harris County District Attorney's Office 314th District Court Chief Allen Otto said.

"Sometimes older kids or even young adults are using younger kids because they know the consequences of being charged as a juvenile are likely not to be as severe as if you're charged as an adult," Otto said.

Juvenile crimes up 76% since 2021, but overall crime is down?

11 and 12 and 16!!!??
I'm astounded.

What is the procedure in Texas for youthful felons? I feel like in all places of places, Texas would take a dim view of these kind of shenanigans and crimes.

When I was 11, I probably thought bank robbers looked like this:

Did they even have bags with dollar signs on them?
