I don't know what type of church* this is, but I do know one thing: if you're in Houston, Texas, and you want to attend church, maybe try a new faith, just drive down Tidwell, that is where they are.

Sunday evening around 7:30, Pastor Mark Cross was cutting the 6:00 service attendees loose when he heard a loud noise, an explosion-like noise, so think of the movie and TV show special-effect sound of "BOOM! ". (To be fair, a gas line was broken in the incident, fumes were filling the air, so, yeah, describing it as an explosion would fit )

Some teenagers who weren't on social media, or in front of the TV, were gathered outside after the service and SCREAMED.

Then, Pastor Cox said that the car bashed thru the church wall, came within feet! (2? 17? 100?) of his child, his 7 year old daughter, within FEET! , and, oh yeah, a brick fell on some other kid's head.

Rev Cox confuses me here a bit.
There were only 2 vehicles involved in a preceding accident.
He said the car that came into the men's bathroom had 2 people inside, the female passenger with a pole impaling her shoulder.
He says the other car, a dark car, drove off in a hurried manner.

Two vehicles.

But then he says he believes the driver of the truck was intoxicated.

I don't know who he means.

You'd reckon he'd be so busy dealing with a room full of dangerous gas, a child with a head injury, impalements, all the screaming, and now - not even a bathroom to use, he wouldn't have the presence of mind to give a field sobriety test.

The victim of the impalement was taken to the hospital swiftly and seems to be surviving.

*Calvary Pentecostal Church of God is the name of the church.

And since I razzed him a little, here is their GoFundMe page. They really are a tiny congregation.
I tried to watch a sermon but the lady who's responsible for filming kept pointing the camera down at her walker and I think she covered the audio up. Makes my hard heart melt a little bit for them.
