Boy, 9, dies after baby sister, 2, accidentally shoots him

A 9-year-old Mississippi boy has died one day after being accidentally shot by his toddler sister, police said.

The mother’s 2-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son were left outside in her car while she and her boyfriend were allegedly inside visiting with a friend.

The toddler found her mother’s gun under a car seat and shot her 9-year-old brother in the head, he said.

A 10-year-old sibling was in the car at the time of the shooting.

The mother, who police haven’t publicly identified, faces child neglect charges.

Child neglect and murder. Make it a felony to leave an unsecured weapon around children. That way, they probably could start charging these irresponsible gun owners with murder.

i am not familiar with guns but can a 2 years old actually hold and fire a gun with their tiny hands? and fingers strong enough to pull the trigger? as i said asking cuz i do not know a thing about guns.

Leaving your unattended kids in the car so you can visit friends and party is horrible. Take them inside with you, get them a babysitter, or stay the fuck home. Also, don't leave unsecured, loaded weapons around kids EVER.
