A 3-year-old toddler had his penis amputated in an alleged botched circumcision by a highly experienced surgeon - who died of a heart attack just days after.

The child’s dad, Alberthy Camargos, 24, asked the nurses to change his son’s bloodstained bandages after a routine circumcision operation.

Mr Camargos was horrified to find a rolled gauze shaped like a penis instead of his son’s genital member.

The devastating news caused the distraught dad to “drop to the ground and go into shock”.

He said: “It was only a couple of hours after surgery, when they lifted the gauze and there was no visible penis, just a stump."

Its not really done here in Aus/Nz. Even 21 years ago when my first son was born it was not offered or discussed. You can get it done but very few doctors are willing to do it and its expensive.
Mistakes do happen, more often than people think. My friends son healed badly. No ones fault. It just did. Scar tissue thickened and twisted it. Now he has buried penis syndrome and has trouble urinating. Will probably have sexual and fertility issues. Will be one of guys that cruel women gossip and laugh about. My friend is fucking devastated he did that to his son. He just thought they should look the same....he doesn't even know why he thought that at the time. Sees how ridiculous that is now. He feels like he ruined his sons life and emasculated him.
Its not his fault of course abd hes a wonderful loving dad but hes never going to shake that guilt.

The operation was conducted by physician Pedro Abrantes at Dr Carlos Marx Municipal Hospital in Malacachta, south east Brazil.

An autopsy confirmed last week that Dr Abrantes died of a heart attack at his home two days after the operation.

The young dad said the physician had reportedly refused to admit to any wrongdoing during an examination of the toddler a couple of hours after the procedure.

Doctors are confident they will be able to preserve the toddler’s erectile tissues, which means he will be able to lead a normal sex life, experience sexual urges, and father children.
