I am 26 years old, and I flunked out of Stony Brook University at the end of 2021, thus ruining the opportunity I had to build a good future for myself. I finally did manage to get an undergraduate degree at the end of 2024, but it's a bachelor's in history from SUNY Empire State University, which doesn't carry nearly as much weight as a degree from SBU would. On top of that, I don't have any work experience besides doing delivery driving for UberEats and Grubhub. Things seem to be utterly hopeless for me at this point. My father has said that my job prospects are now just as dismal as an ex-convict's. Is this really true? Is there really nothing I can do now to escape a life of poverty and shitty jobs?
