INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A Carmel, Ind. man was sentenced Friday to 370 years in prison after pleading guilty to 24 counts of sexual exploitation of children (production of child pornography) in January.
Andrew J. McGrath was arrested after Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, along with Hamilton County Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force got a tip that he had pictures of a minor girl.
Authorities searched his home and found numerous sexual explicit images involving minors. He later admitted to investigators that he used a digital camera to produce images of minor females engaged in sexually explicit conduct over the last several years.
“This case clearly demonstrates why it is so important to aggressively target predators abusing children in our communities,†said John Morton, Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for ICE.
