" A teenager in Iowa has been charged as an adult. He's accused of severely beating his girlfriend and when he thought she was dead, asking a friend to dispose of her body.
According to the criminal complaint, 17-year-old Trevor Ray Dean lured his girlfriend over for a "surprise," believing she had cheated on him.
Authorities said when his girlfriend arrived, Dean began punching her, knocking out teeth and breaking her nose and an orbital bone, that keeps eyes in place.
Dean, according to the complaint, had been texting a friend before the assault, saying things like, “Somethings Finna go down wait till you see my knuckles after” and “I’m Finna let all my anger out.”
After the attack, Dean took a video of the girl unconscious on the ground, gasping for air as her mouth and nose filled with blood. He also filmed his knuckles.
She stopped gasping, and Dean texted his friend that she was “gone.” He then asked for help disposing of her body, according to the complaint.
According to the Marion Police Department, a relative of the girl learned of the beating and called the police. The girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and is recovering."
Dean had his initial appearance in court Tuesday. He is being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond."
