Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is ghosting her comrades on the frontlines of a labor battle against Amazon.

The socialist lawmaker promised organizers she would stand by them at a rally outside a Staten Island warehouse trying to unionize, but dropped out at the last minute — and protest leaders revealed to The Post this week that they were so crestfallen they didn’t even bother inviting her to a follow-up rally in December.

“I figured she would follow her word. It was heartbreaking,” protest organizer Christian Smalls told The Post. “I felt bad for the workers that were excited to see her.

“It was like a slap in the face,” he added.

About 50 people showed up for the unionization rally outside the JFK8 Amazon fulfillment center in Bloomfield on Aug 11.

Activists from the independent Amazon Labor Union said they didn’t even bother inviting the Congresswoman — who infamously defeated Amazon’s proposal in 2019 to open up a 25,000-job world headquarters in Queens — to a Dec. 15 rally outside the same facility. The congresswoman spent the holiday season in sunny Florida with sandals-loving boyfriend Riley Roberts.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tests positive for COVID-19

“Representative Ocasio-Cortez has received a positive test result for COVID-19. She is experiencing symptoms and recovering at home,” the statement said.

“The Congresswoman received her booster shot this fall, and encourages everyone to get their booster and follow all CDC guidance.”

The lefty Dem’s positive test result comes just over a week after she was spotted maskless enjoying drinks with her boyfriend while on vacation in Miami as omicron cases soared across the nation.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tested positive for COVID, a spokesperson for her office said on Sunday.

She was experiencing symptoms, officials said. It wasn’t immediately clear what those symptoms were or how severe they were, but Ocasio-Cortez was recovering at home.

A spokesperson for her said the congresswoman encouraged others to get boosters and follow CDC guidance on coronavirus.

So you can be a triple jabbed mask wearer like our AG Ellison and still get and spread COVID-19! What does that tell you about the masks and vaccines? There are many known drugs that can be used to treat it, including Fluvoxamine, quinine, zinc, chloroquine, HCQ, ivermectin, vitamins C and D, etc. However they censored these known treatments so that the FDA could get EUA approval for the Fauci/Gates vaccine (in reality, an mRNA gene therapy). The efficacy of masks has not been proven. The best thing is natural immunity. The FDA could only get Emergency Use Authorization if there were no known treatments for C-19. Early treatment instead of having patients stay at home until they had breathing problems only to have them go to the hospital, treat them with remdesevir and put them on the ventilator (many patients that go on it do not come back off it alive.) could have ended the pandemic and saved many lives.

Amazon union leaders say AOC abandoned them ahead of historic vote

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez celebrated the historic unionization of Amazon workers at a Staten Island distribution center this week — but labor organizers are shunning the progressive Democrat.

Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was accused by supporters of the Amazon Labor Union of “leaving them high and dry” by failing to show up for an August rally in support of the workers before the union vote.

Christian Smalls, the man credited with leading the unionization drive, was asked over the weekend if he had a message for Ocasio-Cortez in the wake of his success.

“Hell no,” he said. “She don’t deserve this moment.”

AOC mocked on Twitter after the Democratic socialist bragged about squashing Amazon HQ in Queens

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ “I told you so” about Amazon did not go over well.

The Democratic socialist was mocked when she bragged on Twitter about killing an Amazon headquarters in Queens, after news broke that the corporate giant was pausing construction on a similar project in Virginia.

“When I opposed this Amazon project coming to New York bc it was a scam of public funds, the whole power establishment came after us … In the end, we were right,” AOC, who represents parts of Queens and the Bronx, tweeted Friday.

“I know I’ll never get an apology for that time, but it was worth it.,” she continued.

AOC was right — about not getting apologies.

“You opposed it to get headlines and cost your district countless jobs. You should resign in disgrace,” tweeted Jacob Airey.

Journalist Tom Elliott wrote, “Virginians have thousands of Amazon jobs that NYers don’t thank to you.”

Another man tweeted, “that was 3 years ago, Tootsie, and it wasn’t a 2nd Headquarters. You are verified job killer!”

“Right about what? Those jobs went somewhere else,” another Twitter user chimed in.
