A 7-month-old baby girl died last weekend in England after her family’s dog tragically attacked her at their home.

When police entered the room, they discovered baby Elle Doherty with serious injuries to her head after being bitten by the family’s dog inside the home, according to the Independent.

Paramedics treated her at the scene before rushing her to the hospital for further treatment. Unfortunately, baby Elle died shortly after from her injuries.

Authorities said the dog, registered as a Belgian Malinois, was removed from the home and euthanized.
