A 6-year-old boy in Clayton County is fighting for his life after his mother’s boyfriend beat him over the course of a weekend, according to police.

Clayton County police say Porshe Wells’ 6-year-old son is in “extremely grave condition” at the hospital.
Wells and her boyfriend, 36-year-old Napoleon Tracey Ates Jr., were arrested and charged with child cruelty.

Police say the boy’s injuries include bleeding on the brain, blood clot in the lungs, broken bones and severe bruising all over the body.
Channel 2′s Tom Jones talked to police, who said that Ates believed the 6-year-old stole $80 from him and gave it to the family’s roommate. Ates then assaulted the child every day for the entire weekend before the most severe beating, which happened on June 6.

“Ms. Wells advised once the assault was over, her child was unconscious, unresponsive, covered in bruises, and foaming at the mouth,” police said. “Ms. Wells advised she attempted to revive her child with a cold bath, but it did not work.”
Police said that during the attack, Wells ignored her child’s suffering. Police said she got her nails done, and did her normal daily activities from June 4 until June 6, until she decided to take him to the hospital.

“The lack of feeling, feelings for the child by both parents is just astonishing,” Officer Julia Isaac with the Clayton County Police. “The 6-year-old was in horrible condition.”
Wells initially told police she was not there during the beatings, but later admitted that she was there and Ates told her to leave the room.

A Clayton County mother and her boyfriend are facing charges related to the beating of the woman’s young child.
Napoleon Ates and Porshe Wells, who have been dating for three years, were booked into the Clayton County Jail this week on charges of aggravated assault, cruelty to children, and contributing to the deprivation of a minor.
According to arrest warrants, Wells decided to spend the weekend with Ates at a home in Conley and brought her 6-year-old son and daughter. Ates is said to have used his fist and a belt to beat the boy multiple times over the weekend.

The most severe beating allegedly happened on Sunday when Ates accused the boy of stealing $80 and giving it to the 36-year-old’s roommate.
Police said despite knowing her son was in grave condition, Wells continued her daily routine for two days – that she even got her nails done. It wasn’t until early Tuesday morning, court documents reveal Wells tried reviving her son with a bath.
Wells eventually took her son to the hospital. The child suffered a brain bleed, blood clot in the lungs, broken bones, and severe bruising, according to police. As of Friday, he was still listed in critical condition.
Court documents also revealed Ates had warrants out of Forest Park for a January 2023 incident where he is said to have thrown the boy against a vanity, bruising the child’s kidney, and causing other severe injuries. However, he was never arrested. Atlanta News First reached out to the Forest Police Department, asking why Ates was never arrested but did not receive a response.

I am sure this ugly ass manly looking woman thought she had a prize in this man.

Ahhhh yes she used the cold bath miracle revival method, the one that never works.Too bad she didn't get her mane did while she was getting the paws and hooves done, she would have then been all ready for her perp walk, I mean how else is this heifer gonna get her nasty ass snout on TV.

There was an update. He is out of the coma and is recovering. But that's all I've been able to find. I hope there won't be any lasting physical complications, damage.. that he can breathe on his own, communicate.. you know. They should sever her parental rights including future children since her sentence could be ridiculously short.
