Baltimore County Police are investigating what appears to be a tragic double murder-suicide after three people, including a young child, were found dead in a Catonsville home on Thursday afternoon.

On August 28, around 3:30 p.m., officers responding to a welfare check found 42-year-old Chantel Sharieff, suffering from apparent trauma, and her 6-year-old child, Kimana Sharieff, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.
Kimana's father, 43-year-old Mustafa Sharieff, believed to be the suspect in this case, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department Homicide Unit are investigating this incident as a double murder-suicide.
