The victim told officers 57-year-old Orlando Tony Harper, who is her ex-boyfriend, broke into her bedroom and stole her television and several clothing items.
“Officers observed the door of said bedroom which had been secured from the outside with a padlock which now [lay] broken on the floor nearby,” court documents said.
A detective spoke with a witness, who said she saw Harper “enter the residence with a hammer in hand and go to the locked bedroom of the victim and remove the lock with said hammer.”
The witness said she saw Harper leave the home later with the TV.
According to the affidavit, the victim has a no-contact order against Harper.
Fowler also noted Harper was on probation and has a history of violence.
Harper is being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond. Should he be released, he will be required to wear a GPS monitor.
