4YO Atlanta Girl Dies After Being Stabbed By Man During Domestic Dispute

Authorities said the situation started when officers were called to a domestic dispute about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

“They were just arguing, going back and forth, back and forth,” neighbor Jevouhn Hamilton said. “He had the kids in his hand, she’s saying, ‘Give me my kids.’”

According to Hamilton, at some point, the man took the kids and ran upstairs and locked himself inside.

Officers said when they arrived, they found a man who had what appeared to be lacerations on his body and a young girl with him who was suffering from multiple lacerations.

Law enforcement officials said officers used de-escalation tactics to get the man to safely hand over the injured child. The pair was then taken to the hospital for treatment, but the 4-yearold girl later died from her injuries.

At the apartment complex, blood could be seen on a car in the parking lot and on the window of one of the units. Investigators are still trying to determine what the relationship was between the man and the child.
