Two people have been arrested after a fight broke out at Tucson High School on Tuesday, one of them an adult.

Records say Willie Smith, 40, was called to the school to pick up his two sons who were being sent home because of an incident with other students the previous day. Smith was asked to leave through the back exit around lunch time, but he refused and left through the campus courtyard.
When warned of a possible confrontation, court records say Smith told campus staff, "If it's going down, it's going down here."

As the family left, words were exchanged between Smith's sons and a group of students in the courtyard. This prompted a fight, records said. Smith was seen by multiple witnesses engaging with a student in combat.
In video released on social media, students can be seen fighting around Smith, who can be seen holding a student down on the pavement by his neck with his hand.

After on-campus security and police arrived, Smith and a 15-year-old student at the fight were arrested with charges.

Police say no weapons were brought to campus and that no injuries were reported.
After being read his rights, Smith admitted to fighting with the teen because that student was assaulting his son, court records say. He claimed he didn't feel that it was right that his sons were being sent home through the back gate, and he was acting in defense.

Smith told officers he believed he could have handled the situation better.

You assault my kid, you get fucked up. Idc; these YNs are outta hand with bullying. But if man’s up here beat the kid for nothing, I hope he got a stiff sentence. Ik this is old; don’t dismember me. I’m exhausted and on my way dropping dollface off to his grandmother, and I need caffeinated beverages BAD. I’m glad Smith took accountability admitting he could’ve handled it better, but when you go through the proper channels and nothing’s done, do what you must. That’s what I had to do when bullied in high school: beat they ass. And that’s something I subscribe to always. And If Jacob’s donor calls me again like he did on Tuesday, I’m either calling the laws and getting a restraining order again, or he’s dropping the addy, because he’s fixing to get his ass WHOOPED. I’m sick to death of him calling and using Jacob as a means of making me pick him over my baby. And now he doesn’t get to even see bubba until he’s grown (21+); I now shoot archery as well, so if he wants act stupid (he has beforehand, before and after Muffins), he’d better hope that I’m not fully suited up, ready to open fire, as he makes a lovely target practice dummy too. 15 is more than old enough to know better and get fucked up; stop playing with people’s children, because Mom and I fight kids and parents.
