Three men stormed a University of South Florida parking garage and harassed Muslim students during dawn prayer on Tuesday — an incident captured in videos that showed the group shouting slurs, waving bacon and crowding worshipers as they bowed, reports said.
Police identified the men as Christopher Svochak of Waco, Texas; Richard Penskoski of Canyon, Okla., and Ricardo Yepez of Tampa, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

All three face a felony count of disturbing schools and religious assemblies under Florida’s hate-crime enhancement statute, along with misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and disrupting a school or lawful assembly.
None have ties to the university, police said.
The charges followed a multi-day investigation sparked by footage showing the men approaching students during fajr prayer on the roof of the Collins Boulevard Parking Garage.

One man carried a cardboard box reading “Kaaba 2.0 Jesus is Lord,” while another wore a thobe emblazoned with “Jesus is God.”
Students said the group stood inches away as they prayed, shouted insults including “Bow down to lord Jesus Christ” and “Your prophet married a 6 year old,” and taunted them with bacon immediately after the prayer ended, according to a Reddit post.

I think Muslims are miserable because they do not get the pleasure of eating bacon.

I feel like if it's just words and waving bacon from a distance, it is freedom of speech. Just like Muslims can mention all of Christianity's faults while they are praying. It's not nice, but not illegal. But if you're like right up on them or following them, that's harassment.

Personally, my only up close experiences with a mosque were very pleasant. My girlfriend at the time's father had converted and married a Muslim woman and went for their celebration. At first they were suspicious because someone had left a dead pig on their steps like less than a month earlier, but once they knew we weren't there to cause problems, they were very nice. They were even kinder when I went back for the memorial for that girlfriend. There weren't enough seats and everyone in the section we walked to were all trying to give their seat up. It was almost like a comedy bit.

On the whole though, it's very clear that unlike most other major religions, a far too many who practice Islam have not gotten past the violence and "force everyone else to become like us" stage. It is a common thing that has occurred in damn near every religion, but most move tf on after awhile! Islam is still holding that torch tightly. There's acceptance and there is enabling.
