Police are searching for two women accused of abducting 3-week-old twin boys from Livonia.
The disappearance of Montana Alexander Bridges and Matthew Jace Bridges prompted an AMBER Alert to be issued Monday morning. Police said they are looking for the two unknown women, who may be in a black Jeep with chrome trim around the passenger window. The license plate number is MI EHD1130.
Police said the boys are believed to only be wearing diapers.

"As far as I know, my daughter and her family was at a hotel staying because their home had gotten broken into," the boys' grandmother Lolita Vann said."A lady reached out to my daughter via Facebook saying that she could help my daughter with diapers; she needed a place to stay, different types of resources because she was a new mom."

A day after an early morning Amber Alert for two twin newborns shook up metro Detroiters, law enforcement officials offered few new details about what had happened Sunday night and Monday morning — and what its investigation had uncovered.

Tuesday evening, Livonia police released a three-sentence statement that said it was continuing to investigate and had "made four arrests related to the kidnapping of Montana and Matthew Bridges," and the case is being submitted to the Wayne County Prosecutor.

Neither the suspects nor the charges were identified.

The prosecutor's office told the Free Press late Tuesday it had not received a warrant request.
Most of what law enforcement has said about the case so far has come from statements and a brief news conference on Monday, where police officials, including Detroit Police Chief James White, Livonia Police Capt. Gregory Yon and Acting FBI Special Agent in Charge Devin Kowalski, praised the alert’s outcome.

The closest official account of what happened Sunday night came from Yon, who said: "The lady left them with two friends and when she came back, they were gone." He did not specify whether the woman he was referring to was the twins' mother.

When asked to clarify what he meant by "friends," he called them "friendly acquaintances."
The twins' grandmother, Lolita Vann, of Romulus, offered more information in an interview Monday with the Free Press. She said she didn't know how they ended up in a Livonia hotel, but had heard someone may have broken into her daughter's home.

She also heard people had offered to help her daughter with her newborns and find them a place to stay.

Three of four people arrested in connection with the Livonia abduction of two 14-day-old boys were formally charged Thursday with conspiring to kidnap the babies from their mother.

Two teenagers and one 23-year-old are each facing eight charges after twin infant boys were abducted from their mother at a Livonia hotel the night of Aug. 20. An Amber Alert was issued for the babies the next morning, and the children were handed over to Detroit police hours later.

Authorities were initially looking for two females believed to be responsible for the abduction. Two people were handcuffed and detained by police on Monday, but they were cleared and released after police questioned them. Four individuals were arrested on Tuesday, however, and three of them are facing charges so far.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office is accusing Curtis Lee Slay, 18, Davion Demetrius Sherman Chandler, 19, and Shantell Re-Azia Jones, 23, of working together to steal the twin boys from their mother.

Officials said Jones befriended the twins’ mother with a plan to steal the children, and that Slay and Sherman Chandler “aided in this effort.” The group allegedly promised the mother “some much-needed assistance to gain access to her children with the express intent [of] stealing them,” Prosecutor Kym Worthy said.

What happened

At around 10:10 p.m. on Aug. 20, officials say two of the defendants were at the Livonia hotel with the infants and their mother. When the mother briefly left the room to grab a drink from the vending machine, the individuals kidnapped the children, officials said.

It was not said which of the four defendants physically kidnapped the children, but two females were captured on camera walking in the hotel and covering their faces.

I hope these walking piles of shit get the maximum sentences possible. As always, they look inconvenienced, not sorry. Really hoping the other lady gets in trouble, too.
