An Amber Alert for two girls who police said were abducted by their father in Leavenworth, Kansas has expanded to Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Police said they are looking for Nora Jackson, 7, and Aven Jackson, 3. Police said they received a 911 call at 1:16 p.m. from an adult at a home in Leavenworth. The call led deputies to discover two boys, ages 11 and 14, dead inside the home and the girls missing.
Investigators said the actual time of the abduction and homicide is not known. Authorities said one of the children was supposed to be at a soccer game and a family member went to the home and found the crime scene.
Nora has blonde-brown hair with blue or hazel eyes. It was unknown what she was wearing when she was abducted. Aven has blonde hair and blue eyes, and it’s also unknown what she was wearing.
Police said the suspect in the abduction and double homicide is the father, Donny Jackson.
In an update at 4:30 p.m., authorities said the Kansas Highway Patrol made an unrelated car stop on Jackson's car on Highway 169 near the Oklahoma border at 12:35 p.m.
The abducted children were in the vehicle. It is now believed Jackson may be traveling in Oklahoma, Texas, or Arkansas. Kansas Amber Alert says there have been reported sightings of Jackson's vehicle in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Joplin, Missouri.
