A newborn girl, less than one week old, is reported missing in the Village of Albany Saturday.

According to the Green County Sheriff’s Office, the child was born at home on Tuesday, January 5th. The child was taken from the home by her father, investigators say.

The father told investigators he turned the infant over to an “unidentified third party,” and the child has not been seen since.

Authorities say whoever took the child was reportedly driving a gray Chevrolet Equinox. The individual is said to be an acquaintance of the father.

If you live in Albany, authorities are asking you to search your properties and report any unusual findings to local police or the Sheriff’s office.

An infant reported missing in Albany on Saturday was found dead in southern Wisconsin on Sunday.

The baby girl, born on Tuesday at a residence in the village of Albany, was reported missing Saturday. She was taken from the residence by a man later identified as being the father of the child, Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud and Albany Police Chief Robert Ritter said in a joint statement Saturday.

The father told officers he then gave the newborn girl to an "unidentified third party," and she had not been seen since.

The death investigation is still active, authorities said.

16-year-old Logan T. Kruckenberg-Anderson has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of his infant daughter, he will be charged as an adult.

Kruckenberg-Anderson admitted to investigators that he was the father of the infant, born just a week ago to a juvenile mother in a bathtub, and decided to kill the child after the two parents decided they could not take care of her, according to the criminal complaint.

The infant was given the name Harper by the mother, the complaint said.

According to the complaint:

The infant was reported missing Jan. 9, when a man told dispatchers his daughter had recently given birth to a girl, who was taken by the newborn’s father four days earlier and hadn’t been seen since.

Kruckenberg-Anderson initially told police he paid a man named “Tyler” $60 to take the infant to an adoption service in Madison. He told police he met Tyler through Snapchat, did not know his last name and could no longer reach him.

Tyler is Kruckenberg-Anderson’s middle name.

The mother of the child told police she and Kruckenberg-Anderson decided on Jan. 5 they could not keep the baby and discussed several options.

Kruckenberg-Anderson eventually told police he put the baby in a backpack and brought her to a remote, wooded area of Albany. He at first said he abandoned the baby in the snow, but later admitted to shooting her twice after investigators located gunshot wounds.

According to the complaint, Kruckenberg-Anderson told them he placed the newborn baby, who had been named Harper, naked in a snow-filled tree in the woods near of the Village of Albany. Prosecutors say he claimed to have covered the infant with snow and walked away, adding that he knew the child would likely die of exposure.

Kruckenberg-Anderson reportedly continued, saying he could still hear Harper crying as he left, causing him to break down, dropping to his knees and crying.

After leading to investigators to Harper’s body, the complaint states, a member of the Wisconsin State Crime lab found the girl had been shot and surmised the baby was likely alive – or recently alive – when she was placed in the tree.

In an interview following the discovery of Harper’s body and bullet wounds, Kruckenberg-Anderson admitted to shooting her twice in the head, the complaint states, noting that two bullets were found at the scene where she was discovered.

An autopsy determined Harper was alive when she was shot.

Kruckenberg-Anderson is also charged with hiding the corpse of a child.

Investigators also believe they have recovered the gun used to kill Harper. They say a juvenile turned in a firearm, saying Kruckenberg-Anderson gave it to him days earlier. The weapon’s caliber was consistent with the bullets and casings found at the scene.

The baby's mum is then said to have told deputies that after giving birth, they had decided to give the child to an adoptive agency.
They discussed several options, such as dropping the child off at an adoption "place," according to the complaint.
Kruckenberg-Anderson finally told agents they decided he would get rid of the infant by dropping the child off "somewhere," investigators say.
I wonder if she thought he was taking the baby to a safe haven drop site??

Try him as an adult. He knew the fire department was an option for dropping off the baby (safe haven) but chose to kill her instead. Fuck him and his desire to be treated as a juvenile. Also, from the affadavit, it appears the girl was young (listed as "early teens", so probably 13 or 14), and he's 16. That's a significant age difference at that age. Throw the book at him.

It appears they deleted that GoFundMe. Must have received mostly hateful comments, especially since the scumbag confessed and told the cops where to find the body of the infant.

The man on trial in Green County Circuit Court for the 2021 killing of his infant daughter when a teen won a partial victory in the state’s appellate courts July 25 when it ruled to exclude some of his series of confessions to police on the weekend the newborn was killed.
However, the court also agreed to include portions of a previously excluded, initial confession by defendant Logan Kruckenberg-Anderson at the Brodhead Police Department.

At issue was whether Kruckenberg-Anderson was in custody at the time of his interrogations and if so, whether he was read his Miranda rights, including the right to not speak to police.
In its review of the ruling, the appellate court said a key point in the series of interrogations — which they deemed essentially one long interrogation — came when Kruckenberg-Anderson, a teen, was told he needed to confess so the child could be “properly buried.”

The appellate judges ruled that all confessions after that comment and during the disputed time frame were inadmissible by the trial court and affirmed by the appellate court.

It also cited several instances where Wisconsin Department of Criminal Justice Investigator James Pertzborn used heavy-handed coercive tactics while interviewing a scared teen, including saying he was trying to help the defendant and leveraging the presence of an unrelated adult parent — who had given him a place to stay — to get him to confess. Kruckenberg-Anderson, originally from Lodi, was not living with either of his parents at the time of the murder.

“Honey, I can’t help you if you can’t tell the truth,” said the parent, to Kruckenberg-Anderson, according to the ruling. “I will do anything in my power to help you if you tell the truth, honey…”

And while the appellate court threw out most of the Albany confessions, it did reverse Green County Circuit Judge Thomas Vale’s ruling that all the initial Brodhead interview — prior to the arrival of a state detective — would be excluded.

“We agree with the circuit court in part. We conclude that, under the totality of the circumstances, the State has not met its burden of proving that Kruckenberg’s January 10 statements, after a certain point at the Brodhead Police Department and including all of his statements at the Albany woods and at the Albany Police Department, were voluntary under constitutional standards,” the appellate decision states.

“Therefore, the court properly suppressed those statements. However, we also conclude that the State met its burden of proving that, up until that same point at the Brodhead Police Department, Kruckenberg’s statements were voluntary and he was not in custody. Therefore, we reverse the circuit court on that issue.”

This monster

Kruckenberg-Anderson first claimed to have paid someone $60 to take the baby to an adoption agency in Madison. However, after intense questioning by investigators, he revealed that he had placed the infant in a backpack and taken her to a wooded area in the village of Albany. He stated that he subsequently laid the unclothed child inside a fallen tree and covered her with snow.

The baby died of two .22 LR gunshot wounds to the head.

@BuffettGirl I hope this piece of shit gets a long sentence filled with BBC(s) busting in his backdoor.

A Wisconsin man accused of fatally shooting his newborn daughter and leaving her in the woods when he was a teenager is preparing to go to trial.
Logan Kruckenberg Anderson, 21, was 16 years old when he allegedly shot his newborn daughter, Harper, and left her body in the woods, covered in snow. According to the Green County District Attorney's Office, Kruckenberg Anderson's then-teenage girlfriend gave birth to Harper on Jan. 5, 2021, in a home in Albany, a small village around 30 miles south of Madison. Days later, the baby girl was found dead, and the teen father was charged as an adult with first-degree intentional homicide and hiding the corpse of a child.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by local NBC affiliate WMTV, the mother of the baby gave birth in a bathtub. The girl's father called 911 days later, reportedly saying that the girl took the baby out of the house and he had not seen the baby since.
When the girl was questioned by investigators with the Green County Sheriff's Office, she reportedly told them that she and Kruckenberg Anderson decided that they could not keep the baby. Kruckenberg Anderson reportedly told deputies that the couple contacted someone named Tyler on Snapchat to take Harper to an adoption agency. Kruckenberg Anderson told police that he gave Tyler $60 for completing the task.
However, Kruckenberg Anderson's story reportedly changed. According to the complaint, he allegedly admitted to taking Harper to the woods, covering her naked body with snow, and leaving her to die of exposure. When he walked away from the days-old baby, he heard her crying.
After Kruckenberg Anderson led investigators to the baby's body, crime scene technicians determined that Harper had been shot. He allegedly told police that he shot the baby twice in the head.

According to the complaint, an unnamed juvenile turned a firearm in to the sheriff's office, saying that Kruckenberg Anderson had given it to him days before. The firearm matched the two bullets that were found near Harper's body.

The mother of Harper was not charged.

I hope he does not end up with a sympathetic jury that excuses his conduct because he was 16 at the time of the crime.

Also with some of his confession being thrown out - this could go either way.
no excuses if i was on jury cuz i know that well their brains might not be fully developped but it is devellopped enough for them to know they can do anything and nothing much will happen to them because of their age.... at 16 you know that dead is dead forever and if you kill a human no matter how old or how young it makes you a murderer and no excuses ... he deliberately left his baby nude to die in the cold but she dared to cry so he shut her up by shooting her ... why else was he carrying a gun if he didn't mean to use it oh his baby girl?? and why was the baby nude in the first place?? she was a few days old so for sure they didn't leave her completely nude while she was living with them ...even a child of 10 wouldn't bring a nude baby in a back pack outside in winter so did the mother know the baby left the house in the nude? if so did she think it was ok cuz the baby would be brought somewhere to be adopted??? this story doesn't make much sense to me :(
