Matthew E. Nuttall, 26, is accused of killing a 16-month-old boy after becoming frustrated.

Nuttal allegedly threw the child into a Pack-and-Play portable crib because he was frustrated the baby wouldn’t stop crying. The child’s spinal cord was severed, which caused the child’s death.

Nuttall is with first- and second-degree manslaughter.

I'ma take a stab in the dark and guess this is yet another instance of mom letting her DOTM watch her baby while she went to work. Gonna go research if I'm correct and how long she even knew/dated the dude before having him over to play house.

28 Year old matthew nuttall was sentenced to 15 years in state prison for his conviction on a charge of manslaughter in the first degree, followed by five years of supervised release.

According to the Chautauqua County District Attorney, Nuttall caused the death of 16-month-old Isaac Benton in April 2024 by slamming him into a Pack ‘n Play.

Nuttall pleaded guilty during a hearing that was held just six days before his trial was scheduled to begin.
Nuttall was arrested in April 2024 following the report of the suspicious death of a baby that had occurred two days before, where the cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma, leading to an investigation and Nuttall’s arrest.
