Sentenced: Omar Passmore Was Upset With His Girlfriend - So He Shot & Killed Her 12YO Daughter

Authorities said Omar Passmore confessed to detectives that he was upset with his girlfriend and killed her daughter.

Passmore was sentenced to life in prison to be served concurrently with an additional 20 years.

Prosecutors said Passmore fatally shot 12-year-old Breaunna Cormley, his girlfriend's daughter, on July 19, 2024.

Prosecutors said witnesses identified Passmore, saying he was home alone with Breaunna at the time of the shooting. Witnesses said they could hear loud yelling from inside the house before the shooting.

At the time of his arrest, officers found a handgun and ammunition in Passmore's backpack that matched forensic evidence collected from the scene, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said Passmore waived his rights and confessed to shooting Breaunna with the same gun because he was upset with her mother.

The medical examiner determined that the manner of Breanna's death was homicide, and two close-range gunshot wounds to her neck and head were the cause of death.
