Agents conducted multiple interviews throughout the investigative process. The mother of the children was identified as Missouri Brown. Information was obtained through the investigation that the mothers boyfriend, Caleb Schuler, was suspected of being abusive toward the two juveniles causing excessive bruising to the children ages three and one.
Agents also confirmed the questionable bruising had been occurring for serveral months on a consistent basis. Agents gathered information that the mother, Missouri Brown confirmed the suspected allegations and was aware of the abuse for several months. Brown admitted to concealing the children's bruising from others. Information was gathered that similar incidents had occurred over the past several months. Caleb Shuler was located in Middleport in the evening hours of March 28th, 2024. Shuler was transported to the Middleport Jail where he was interviewed and charges were filed.
