The woman who was a person of interest in the murders of a Florida couple inside their retirement community is now facing murder charges.
Vickie Lynn Williams, 50, went before a Lake County judge on Saturday, who announced the two additional first degree murder charges in the deaths of Darryl Getman, 83, and Sharon Getman, 80, FOX 35 Orlando reports.

Williams was only previously charged with vehicle theft in the case after being found with the Getman's car in Georgia.

"You are charged with one count of grand theft statutory property. The other charges are two counts of murder in the first degree. After reviewing your criminal indigent status, I've appointed the public defender's office to represent you," Judge Emily Curington said during the Zoom court session. "There's no bond on any of these three charges."
The Getmans were found dead inside an apartment at Waterman Village senior living community in Mount Dora around 4 p.m. Dec. 31 after security was alerted by a concerned resident that the couple's garage door was open. When security went to the home of the couple, they found a crime scene and called police.
Mount Dora Interim Police Chief Mike Gibson said the killing appear to be a "random crime," and that the woman does not appear to have any connections to the Getmans, Mount Dora or Central Florida. Rather, she was "passing through."

The court document relates how when police arrived at the Getmans’ apartment at the Waterman Village senior living community around 4 p.m. Dec. 31, they found the wife lying in a T-shirt and underwear in the entryway in a pool of blood, with white towels next to her as if someone tried to render aid or clean up the mess.
“(Sharon) had head trauma and a large amount of blood from her abdomen, which ran out and pooled behind her in the entryway,” cops wrote.

Her husband of more than 50 years was located nearby, suffering from “severe head and facial trauma as well as a large butcher-style knife with a yellow handle stuck to the hilt in his abdomen,” according to the affidavit.
Police added that Darryl appeared to have defensive wounds, suggesting that he tried to fight off the attacker.

Investigators are still waiting for a medical examiner’s report to determine the couple’s exact causes of death.

Detectives also found a wet bloodstained towel in the guest bathroom, pointing to a cleanup attempt, curly black hairs possibly belonging to the suspect, and bloody shoe- and bare footprints throughout the victims’ home and in their garage.
