Bismarck police say Emmitt Klein, 43, was staying with the victims family and had set up a tent in the backyard in the spring of 2019.

The victim’s father had found messages on her computer in December 2020, stating she had been raped by Klein. He reported the incident to police.

When interviewed by police, the victim told officers she and Klein were in the tent, when he gave her some chocolate. She told investigators, she remembered feeling numb and not being able to move. Police say Klein then raped the 12-year-old in the tent.

According to the affidavit, Klein continued to feed the victim the chocolate while he raped her.

The victim told police this happened on two occasions, but couldn’t remember the details of the second incident.

According to the affidavit, the victim had kicked Klein in the ankle at one point. The injury was severe enough that Klein had to see a doctor. Police confirmed with the victims father, Klein had went to a doctor for a broken ankle.

During an interview, Klein denied having sexual contact with the victim and said he had went to the doctor, but couldn’t remember which one, and said it wasn’t for his ankle.

I have found that it could go either way. There are still a lot of families that turn a blind eye to these crimes thereby nurturing these behaviors and sending the message that this is accepted. Then you have sociopaths and their narcissism which usually stems from trauma in early childhood. Psychopaths that just born that way. The Psychopath and Sociopath that actually admit to these crimes both have the same philosophy and it's something along the lines off "she was lucky it was me!" Disgusting, but that is how their minds work.

Oh yea. Keep coming here on a regular basis and you will defiantly see some shit that will confirm that. The real question is the classic "nature vs nurture" idea. Basically, how much of our personality is innate and how much is developed through our experiences.
I saw a documentary on addiction some time ago. A person interviewed said that genetics loads the gun and environment pulls the trigger. I found this to be an excellent analogy.

A man accused of forcing himself on a young girl in Bismarck after giving her an intoxicant has been sentenced to five years in prison.

Emmitt Klein, 44, of Bismarck, was charged in December 2020 with two sex crimes. He pleaded guilty Tuesday, the day his trial was to start, to solicitation of a minor under the age of 15. A rape charge was dismissed, court records show.

The girl told police that Klein forced himself on her in two separate incidents in the spring and summer of 2019 and that she had difficulty moving after Klein allegedly gave her what he told her was chocolate, according to an affidavit. Klein denied any sexual contact with the girl, police said.

South Central District Judge Daniel Borgen sentenced Klein to five years in prison and allowed him credit for more than a year already served. He further ordered that Klein spend five years on supervised probation and have no contact with the girl or her family.
