Clarksville, TN - The nerve of some babies. How dare they be awake and start crying? What the hell is wrong with them? They should just lay there and be quiet. At least that's what Cornelio Hunt thinks. Them babies need to be quiet dammit!
On February 16, Hunt and his wife were home trying to enjoy quiet time. However, a three month baby decided that wasn't necessary and was crying. Hunt became quite upset with this and was going to make it stop hell or high water.
He began by hitting the baby on the legs. Because as well all know, inflicting physical pain is the best way to get crying to stop. When that didn't work, go figure; he felt the need to stuff rags into the baby's mouth. To ensure the rags didn't come out he taped them to her mouth. He taped the rags to her face. To her face. He taped the rags to her face. What the fuck?
His wife was having none of this and begged for him to stop. His response to this was to carry the baby around by the ankles. He threatened to hurt the mother as well. She left the home with the baby the first safe chance she got and called police. The baby has been examined and appears to be okay.
Hunt is in jail on a $105,000 bond amidst allegations of child abuse, neglect, and domestic abuse.
