Sister and her boyfriend, both 13, charged with 20-year-old Texan’s murder

The family of Rene Rodriguez has been left broken after he was shot and killed Wednesday inside his family’s home.

The people arrested for Rene’s murder were his 13-year-old sister and her 13-year-old boyfriend.

According to San Antonio police, Rodriguez, 20, was in his bed when he was shot four times. Police say his sister’s 13-year-old boyfriend allegedly pulled the trigger.

The family believes Rene’s sister had let her boyfriend in the house. Raquel Rodriguez, Rene’s sister, said the two 13-year-olds had been in a relationship for almost a year, but their family disapproved.

“Rene loved my sister. That was the baby of the house,” Raquel said.

San Antonio police said the suspects were last seen leaving the home after the shooting but were arrested and charged with murder on Thursday.

Raquel shared this message with her young sister:

“I love you. I just cannot forgive you in this. I cannot.”

Rene’s mother, Michelle Gutierrebelieves in forgiveness. She hopes her family can one day come back together.

“I will stand by my daughter to protect her, to teach her that this isn’t the end,” she said.

Usually these crimes aren't sparked by any wrongdoing by the victim, usually it's simply a matter of the family being "in the way" of the relationship and/or robbery is the motive. The opposite is extraordinarily rare, to the point where im kinda mindblown anyones mind would go that route without ANY evidencce suggesting it.

Not sure why anyone would launch into any bizarre, outlandish, as of yet totally baseless wild theories that the victim must have committed one of the worst crimes imaginable. Sickening anyone would drag this poor man into the mud like that. Not surprising though given the scumbags who populate this site nowadays.

It's VASTLY more likely that he was perhaps the most outspoken about the relationship being a bad thing, about not approving of or liking this scumbag criminal bf. Either that, or he had something the shitheads wanted.

Makes me want to throw up knowing these stains won't die in a cage due to their age. Outrageous anyone would want anything but a cage FOR LIFE, if not DP, for these animals. They will NEVER have any value to society.

She had ran away already a couple times this year but I mean they do believe it was the boy's fault,” Garcia said. “I don’t think the family like the boy at all.”

A neighbor says the two teens had been hanging out for a few months after they met at a nearby school, about half a mile away from where the shooting happened.

So far, San Antonio police have been called for a runaway three times this year. They've also had seven disturbances calls here too.

GIrl ran away multiple times...i would assume cuz someone at home was making things difficult for her to hang out with the boy. Sounds like the family likely was putting some roadblocks in place, or at least this victim was.
