Ryan Mann, 17, is behind bars on charges that he forcibly struck and choked his 10-month-old daughter on multiple occasions, the Ulster County District Attorney's Office said Thursday.
On Feb. 5, members of the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center were asked to assist village of Ellenville police with an investigation into the abuse of a 10-month-old child, the press release said. The investigation revealed Mann, on multiple occasions, forcibly struck and restricted the breathing of his daughter until she was rendered unconscious, according to the District Attorney's Office.
Mann remains in the county jail.
